My self-summary
I am in a happy, life-long relationship with Caudata_King but we are non-monogamous. Having a relationship with me does not mean having one with him.

I am over-analytical but easy-going, sarcastic but generally cheerful. I can be verbally aggressive especially when debating topics I care about, but this shouldn't be confused for me not caring about others' opinions.

ENFP, if you care about that sort of thing.

I don't have reliable access to a car at the moment, so it is probably best if you are in Washtenaw county.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a BA in English literature and a Master's in Information Science. Since Graduation my career seems to be developing backwards. I'm working on a lot of exciting projects, few of which pay well, but all of which I'm, amazed to be a part of. Atypical paths lead to atypical places, and I'm excited to see where I go.
I’m really good at
Finding 4 leaf clovers; I find ~4 a year without trying. The way my brain is wired just makes me well suited for this useless task.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends who's looking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I Kill Giants, The Oryx and Crake series by Margaret Atwood. I think The Illustrated Man had a huge impact on a young me.

My favorite move is Snatch. I think it is hilarious and I never get sick of it. Other favorites are Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog , Castaway on the Moon, Run Lola Run and O Brother, Where Art Thou I tend to like things that MovieLens users have tagged 'quirky' and 'smart'. I like movies that grow on me as I think about them later, rather than ones which blast me with an experience which I later realize replaced any meaningful content.

TV Shows I really like/liked:
Parks and Rec
Number one Ladies Detective Agency
Arrested Development
Fringe, season 1 anyways

I am not so passionate about music but my go to favorites are Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, Ani DiFranco and Regina Spektor.
The six things I could never do without
The stars
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meanings and implications of seemingly unimportant things. From word choice, to social categories. Why do we do what we do, and could we trick ourselves into having a better world by changing small things?
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends on the week: trying to get though my ever expanding Netflix queue, catching up with the internet or, preferably, out partying it up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have the worst celebrity crush on Tim Minchin. I know that the public personas of celebrities are cultivated to appeal to a demographic, but I can't help it.
You should message me if
You think we'd have fun drinking, dancing, or speculating on the nature of the the world. You want conversation as well as a physical connection.

You are Tim Minchin.

Note: I am comfortable with my body and you should be too. If you indicated in the questions section that you don't find obese people attractive, or that fat people annoy you, I'm going to question your motivation for messaging me.
