My self-summary
"We can spend our whole lives letting the world tell us who we are. Sane or insane. Saints or sex addicts. Heroes or victims. Letting history tell us how good or bad we are. Letting our past decide our future. Or we can decide for ourselves. And maybe it's our job to invent something better."

Chuck Palahniuk
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with a degree in biochemistry and work as a synthetic chemist at a biotech company making drugs for kids. It pays the bills.
I’m really good at
Dark humor, O-Chem, faking accents at the drive thru, ad-libbing dialogue for animals, mashed potatoes, and embracing awkward moments.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends on the social setting. If I'm around friends or any sort of audience, then I'm rather gregarious and a showman. In one on one settings, I'm generally much more reserved and attentive. Physically, I get a lot if comments on my eyes, arms, and smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(A) I usually look to more dystopic books; Chuck Palahniuk being one of my favorites. I also love Lord of the Flies, Slaughter House Five, Spades, Kitchen Confidential, Jesus's Son, and a slew of others. One of my greatest regrets as a science major is that I get very little time to read.

(B) Fight Club, Sixth Sense, The Virgin Suicides, Groundhog Day, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pi, I Heart Huckabees, Anchorman, Scent of a Woman, Memento, Pan's Labyrinth, Good Will Hunting, 10 Items or Less, Dark Knight, Snatch, American Beauty, The Devil's Backbone. I really like too many to list them all.

(C) Archer, Parks and Recreation, GoT, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, The League, Firefly, and Dollhouse.

(D) I've really gotten into a lot of experimental and progressive rock. Stuff by Red Sparowes, Pelican, Explosions in the Sky, just to name a few. I'm also a big fan of Tool, APC, Opeth, Pink Floyd, Cake, Led Zepplin, and many more. I'm generally pretty open with music.

(E) I love exotic and spicy foods. After going to Vietnam, Vietnamese is probably my favorite cuisine now.
Six things I could never do without
1. Good coffee.

2. Good friends/family.

3. Good food.

4. Music.

5. Showering.

6. Artistic outlets.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
So many things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I signed up on an online dating site.
You should message me if
"It wasn't that the world was out to get her.
She just made it harder on herself sometimes.
I guess that is one of the side effects
of having a heart that's always wide open.
She wasn't quite sure
if what she was letting in
or out
was right
or wrong.
But, my God,
she felt everything.

You have to understand that some wildflowers
carry both the pollen
and the poison.
Living with that much life and death
could grow tiresome.
Feeling too much
instead of growing numb.

I wasn't sure whether to run from her
or towards her.
So I ran with her.

And for the first time
in a long time,

I believed in something."
