My self-summary
I like to have fun as much as possible, make art of all kinds, and playing of all kinds. I'm into traveling, adventuring, the outdoors, curry, dancing and that feeling you get when the hair on your arms stands up. I'm not religious at all but I have an undisciplined meditation practice and an unorganized spiritual sense that comes from a wonder and reverence I have for nature, the universe, and how amazing it is that we are just here and alive.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a photographer, a filmmaker, father, musician of sorts, athelete, yoga enthusiast, and builder of hovercrafts and tool sheds.
I’m really good at
Creative things, physical things, absurdist humor, changing the words to songs on the fly.
The first things people usually notice about me
How should I know?.. People don't usually mention what they first notice about you, it would be weird; " Oh Hi! nice to meet you, you aren't balding and almost don't have an upper lip..." (actually i do have one it just faces down so its hard to see)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
David Bowie, Edward Sharp, Fruit Bats, Stranger Things, Jodorowsky's Dune, Dune (the book), The Lord of the Rings, Power of Myth, Jim Jarmusch, The Cohen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Hayao Miyazaki, Kurt Vonnegut, Joseph Campbell, JK Rowling, Frank Herbert, Douglas Adams, Mary Stewart, Tom Robbins, curry, sushi, Korean food, Middle Eastern food, Polish food, and a ton of other stuff I'd rather just talk to you about cause it's more fun that way.
The six things I could never do without
Laughter, adventure, wonder, play, passion, expression.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What is at the core of being a human in the universe.
On a typical Friday night I am
Varied - hanging at the house watching a screen, seeing/playing music, dancing, camping, movies, sometimes cooking with my pal at his house - the most badass fire pit that was ever the host of late night West Asheville xmas tree burning revelry.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In this context and on dating: I think that the best approach is to meet without any preconceptions in mind, but rather just be open to what happens naturally and be present to what it really is there.
You should message me if
You read through this and it made you wanna - and this sounds good: enjoy life, strike out on adventures, have fun as much as humans can, play till you drop, laugh till you cry, be actually truly happy, joyful, at peace with yourself and never wait for somebody else to "make you" that way. P.S. "liking me" might be a good way to save me for later, doesn't let me know that you did anything cause I don't have the subscription, so message me instead please, if the feeling is mutual I'll message you back.
