My self-summary
London born, left when I was 8, then 14 years in Ireland. Came home May 2012. I love London and I'm always on the hunt for fun things to do around the city. I also try and get out to Europe every now and then for an explore.

Bit nerdy, massively into tech, science and conversations, board games, video gaming, work in PR, cycle, and love good food.
What I’m doing with my life
Running around having mini-adventures, reading, writing, doing tai chi, and cycling. Currently my two ongoing projects are trying to pick a new sport (or deciding to go back to ju jitsu, fencing or rowing), trying to find an amazing restaurant of every variety in London (this is long term) and managing house repairs (sorry I may discuss house repairs at some point). :P

Playing a lot of games - board and digital, reading a lot, going off on mental explorations about various bits of science sparked by a paragraph in XKCD.

I also do theatre, music, and cooking, lots of reading too. Currently trying to get into making Japanese style bento boxes for lunch. Recipie suggestions welcome!

Classical music concerts are a true love of mine, not that I get to
Them as often as I'd like. But live music is always great especially folk or rock. Choral concerts are also great.
I’m really good at
Talking, understanding weird technology, laughing, back rubs , baking, and writing.
The first things people usually notice about me
Broad shoulders and deep voice
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by Terry Prattchet, Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott, Most Fantasy, I love Wilde, Asimov, Frank Herbert, The Three Musketeers and The Count Of Monte Cristo. Also The Screwtape Letters, and Pullman, and whatever random modern Fiction I can get my hands on.

Movies: I love sci fi, fantasy, good super hero films and intelligent drama. The Martian was fantastic and possible one of the best films of the last year. Emotional, Dramatic, or Entertaining. A Single Man is one of the best films I've seen in the last few years, and Harry Brown is amazing. I dislike (non-zombie apocalypse/action) horror and overtly crude comedies. Keeping Mum is my kind of Humour.
Like a bit of Miyazaki as well.
Favourite film Before Sunrise/Before Sunset,

Tv: The West Wing + Newsroom(2012) - Anything Sorkin really, Sherlock is amazing, Firefly, Suits, If I'm sick I'll shove on a classic like Blackadder to cheer me up. Doctor Who and A Game of Thrones. Bones as well, and all the old british comedy ('Allo 'Allo). Jeeves and Wooster always makes me smile. Also anime, always looking for new recommendations. So far I've watched hunter X hunter, Naruto, sword art online, ranma 1/2, and log horizon. currently watch ronin no kenshin and going on to fate stay/night. :)

Music: Everything really. Love Irish Folk (I know over 100 songs and I can carry a tune), I also love classical and I do hard rock and metal when I am annoyed. Pop and house for when I want to dance. :)

Also I play video games but I have a rule that getting outside always takes preference. :) currently playing overwatch, world of Warcraft, gwent, ffxiv, hearthstone and many more (I dabble a lot) :)
Six things I could never do without
Friends - I refuse to adventure alone,
A plan - any plan will do but it has to be there,
Deliciousness - any form of deliciousness will do.
A thick pair of woolly socks - for those "house days".
Cuddles - blankets, television, making a bastion of warmth on a cold winters night.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gadgets, and the ever growing world of technology - I deal with this for a living so I'd better think about it alot.

The relentless progress of social media into every part of our lives.

How to make any sentence I write better?
The likelihood of someone paying to read something I have written.

Whatever political campaign my friend is currently embarking on.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking in a pub, eating good food, Netflix or Reading a book. Or playing video games depends what that week has been like at work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I own a totoro onesie...

I own a storm trooper costume.

I sometimes wonder what would happen if the two were combined.
You should message me if
If we are being honest, I am a massive nerd. I am attracted to geeks, all of the geeks. If you're one of those please say hello! Trust me I will be interested in whatever weird crazy science you're doing. :)

If you are a liberal, open minded and friendly person then we will probably get along. :)
The two of us
