My self-summary
***This is an update to say that I haven't updated this profile in months. Also, I'm not interested in any sort of "serious" dating, right now, but if you'd like to hang out and movies and also video games, message away.***

I am a former theatre kid turned independent game designer. I am a connoisseur of games, movies, and music. Sometimes, I watch anime. I am passionate-yet-flippant. I am a DJ on the side. I am dickjokes and high-fives. I am an all-in dancer, a host of strange parties, and worth my salt in the kitchen.

I enjoy the company of people who are generally laid back and utterly silly. An absurd/raunchy sense of humor is always a plus. If you don't like watching cheesy/campy B-movies, you're going to have a bad time.

There's no meaning or clever anecdote behind my profile name. I only went with it because NickCagesButtDouble was too long.
What I’m doing with my life
I own a tiny game design company called Tailypo Games. We (and by "we" I mean "I") make table-top/board games that create compelling and/or unusual narratives; the sorts of games that give birth to stories you can't wait to share with your friends over dinner. We plan to transition into video game development sometime late next year.
I’m really good at
Hiding my lack of any practical talent behind a blinding wall of creativity.

Game design and game theory have always come rather naturally to me. I'm okay at poetry, passable with prose, alright at acting, and decent with DJ'ing. My soundcloud has a few mixes on it. Here's a link, if you want to check them out: https://soundcloud.com/jtb-4
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses.
My gentle, if misplaced, idealism.
My carefully trimmed white beard.
My white straw panama hat.
My walking cane topped with a mosquito encased in amber.
The way in which I "spare no expense."

The six things I could never do without
A computer.
Music.
The absence of sleep.
Probably your mom.
Semicolons.
Moments of sudden realization.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The games I'm designing, the worlds I'm building and the characters that inhabit them, the movies I want to see, the games I'm playing, the shows I'm watching, what I'm going to talk about at dinner tonight, moving to Asheville, Barry Gibb's dreamy mane of hair, Gucci Mane's iced-out stare, http://i.imgur.com/8vj3LLJ.gif
On a typical Friday night I am
They usually involve some sort of themed dinner & movie night. Lately, it's been coffee + cherry pie + Twin Peaks.

Sometimes we walk to one of the local bars, then stumble back to someone's apartment to watch a fantastically bad B-movie. Sometimes there are parties. Sometimes I stay in and binge on netflix and/or video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tried A-List for a month. Ask me about how useless it was.
You should message me if
--you are a visual artist who likes to/would like to make fantasy illustrations in the style of Harry Clarke and/or the Dictionnaire Infernal (look it up). I need someone to illustrate the rulebook for my upcoming release and have money that I'm poised to throw at your face.

--you're a bad enough dude to rescue the president.

--the words "living" and "it" don't appear next to each other in your "What I'm doing with my life" essay.

Freaky Constantina.
