I'm quiet and reserved yet open and honest. Been working on my interpersonal skills for a long time and it seems to be paying off.
I'm a founding member of an art collective in inner Southeast Portland. My living situation is somewhat unusual. Work space and residence combined. I like to use power tools at odd hours.
I'm calm, collected and open minded. My hearing's a little iffy (too many power tools at odd hours) but I'm a good listener.
I'm also gainfully employed. Been at the same job for 26 years.
I gave up drinking alcohol for good more than two and a half years ago. No great trial and I won't be going back. I won't, however, be a jerk about it to anyone else. My sobriety is my business. The habits of others are not. I'm proud of myself. Healthy, strong and wide awake. Best thing I ever did for myself.
I love Tolkien first. Neal Stephenson. Tom Robbins. William Gibson. Clive Barker. Christopher Moore. Neil Gaiman. Even George R. R. Martin.
I like books about art. Books about philosophy and science. Books about medicine and healing. Books.
I have too many favorite movies to list. Some are even romantic comedies.
As for television, I watch whatever strikes my fancy at any given time. I can't stand tv advertising at all so it's strictly Netflix.
I love music. Most kinds.
I am not a 'foodie'. I have no Portland-esque pretentions about eating hip or following trends. It's just food.
Sex. Drugs. Rock and roll. Hedonism. Villainy. Vice.
Sunshine. Cool friends. The respect of my peers. The ability to provide for my son. Tons of tools. Space to work.
Imagination. Focus. Equality. Strength. Justice. Compassion.
John Lennon told me all I really need is Love.
