*** Update March 2, 2016 ***
So I did meet a great nerdy girl at the con. And she lives in Montana. So until there is transporter technology, my search continues...

*** ***
I am a nerd. I mean it. A real Star Trek watching, board game playing, techno geek nerd. I am the genuine artice. No pretend hipster, irony glasses here.

Still with me? Awesome.

I am an actor.

And still, still with me?

Ok, if you are still reading, let's get specific...

I had always done what people told me I was "supposed to do". Go into business, raise a family, make lots of money and spend it on silly toys designed to make one happy. I did it, and I was really good at it.

But suprisingly, I was not happy. So when I finally saw an opportunity to live my acting dream , I grabbed it. Best choice I have ever made.

And not suprisingly, I am very happy.

Go figure.
What I’m doing with my life
For the first time in my life, I have happiness in my career. Acting fulfills me like nothing else has before. My two previous careers were Financial Advisor and Computer Network Engineer. Over two decades of business and tech were more than enough for me. Finally, I am doing something for myself. And I am loving every minute of it.

I am undertaking my health and well being like never before. I actually discovered that I like Brussel Sprouts and Kale. Yes, I cook and I am pretty good at it too. I play golf every week, and I've been riding my bike on the beach. It has already made a difference and I am still improving my body daily.

I am passionate, powerful, and I like to have fun. I have all new friends and they have so many different interests. I have been trying new foods, new activities, and new experiences.

I already knew that I liked a good challenge. Well, this adventure has all been an amazing challenge for me. I have been learning a new career, finding new, positive people to be in my life, and learning to live alone for my first time ever.
I’m really good at
Making a difference for people in the world. I am an amazing listener and I can really get what is important to people.

And having fun. I am committed to living a passionate, playful life. I want to enjoy it all and I want people around me to enjoy it too. Besides, isn't fun the best thing to have?

And I am going to declare it here. I am really good at ACTING. I love saying that.

And strategies. Both game playing and life living. After all, they are essentially the same thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
Wow. I used to say my shiny shaved bald head, which is a great shape and I love the look and feel of it. And yes, if you rub it it, will bring you luck.

But I am sporting hair and a beard now (actor, "willing to shave"). So I guess my new answer is that have hair.
Boy, did I avoid answering this question.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
WARNING! This is a dangerous section to write and read. It is very easy to look here and find things that you don't like, find "reasons" to not make a connection. While I hope we share some common interests, I know that opposites attract too. Remember that as you read on...

Food: I am eating healthier than I ever have before. But the new foods I am discovering are amazing. I love most Asian foods, but I like plenty of other cuisines as well. I am always up for throwing a steak on the BBQ Grill. I just stay away from heavy duty spices. I prefer to taste my food, not fight it.

Movies: Ocean's Eleven, Bird Cage, 5th Element, The Sting, Thomas Crown Affair, The Matrix, Rounders, Inception, Godfather 1&2, and Casablanca. Comedy, Sci Fi, Action, and adventure are my favorites. But I am open to other genres.

Television: My career pursuit is to be a regular on a sucessful Sitcom. So, I watch a lot of Sitcoms. I try each one when it premieres, and study them to see what works and what doesn't. Oh, part of the studying includes laughing and enjoying it. And I do have a few dramas in the mix too. I still enjoy watching reruns of Star Trek (any version) and Battestar Galactica too.

Theatre and Live Shows: Comedy clubs are a big part of my life. I enjoy improv the most, but I also love good standup and sketch. I like live theatre and musicals. I can see Phantom of the Opera or A Chorus Line any time. I like unique stuff too, like Blue Man Group and Cirque Du Soil.

Music: Classic Rock, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, RnB, Some Classical, Oldies.
Six things I could never do without
My integrity.
The ability to tell and listen to stories.
My health and fitness.
My friends and family.
Comedy and laughter.

And my smart phone. Aren't we all supposed to say that?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Living my dreams and passions. I am committed to a life of passion and play. Everything I do lives inside of that commitment.

And I think a lot about who I really am. It is a new inquiry and I have having fun discovering myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
It's probably something nerdy. Maybe board games with friends, Netflix an old Sci Fi show, or building a killer robot (although so far the only thing my robot can do is fling pointed insults)

I do enjoy going to see live comedy. Improv, sketch, and standup are usually a welcome activity.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a pretty open book. I love to share myself with people. If you want to know something about me, just ask.

...nerd is a language and lifestyle you identify with. like to laugh and play. see things in my profile that you like. see things in my profile that you may not like, but you get that opposites attract.

And finally, if you are a woman who knows the words to the female part of Paradise by the Dashboard Light. I have always wanted to try Karaoke with that song.
