My self-summary
Bright colors, dark beers, two-wheeled vehicles, and down-tuned guitars. Generalist above specialist, fox before hedgehog, and have built up a varied skill set over the years. Insatiable reader, music lover, handy around a machine shop.
What I’m doing with my life
Designing and building mechanical things. Getting around on cycles, bi- and motor-. Throwing discs, laying out gratuitously, running medium distances, yoga to try and make those muscles hurt less. Sunday morning coffee, used bookstores, headbanging, snowboarding, trying to stand up on a short board. Generally no more than two of these at the same time.

Doing my best to live up to a few quotes.

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."- Robert Heinlein

"We make our own and if they don't feel it/Then we are not for them (and that's cool)"-P.O.S.

"Though we are not sure who we are, we keep our heads up" - La Dispute
I’m really good at
Never broken a bone despite years of accidents, so apparently I'm spectacular at falling (scars don't count).
The first things people usually notice about me
My colorblindness, or rather, the consequences of it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Alcest, Alexisonfire, Baroness, bearvsshark, Coliseum, Dessa, DOOMTREE, Doomriders, envy, Frank Turner, Ghost Buffalo, ISIS, La Dispute, Lucero, P.O.S. , Red City Radio, The Weakerthans
Hitchhiker's Guide (Adams), Blankets (Thompson), Local (Wood), House of Leaves (Danielewski), Foucault's Pendulum (Eco).
Archer, Brick, Doctor Who, Venture Brothers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Better Off Dead, Parks and Rec.
Spicy, any genre
Six things I could never do without
- A bike that can go anywhere (with the tools to fix it)
- Something to read
- Coffee
- Parenthetical asides
- Music player
- Open water (Surprising enough for someone who grew up landlocked)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I can channel my energy into something that won't just be another useless lump of plastic in six months

How much longer my body will continue to hold up if I keep diving for every throw within six feet
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I speak to my motorcycle like it's a dog, including stopping to pet it when I walk past in the street.

What? Totally normal.
You should message me if
You want to run around outside, anywhere from a field to a mountainside, bikes to the Pacific.

You build something. That covers a lot of ground, from food to skyscrapers, but you value creating something of your own.
