Hey there, I'm Ben. I'm an award-winning screenwriter currently producing my first major short film, based on a sci-fi/fantasy script I wrote. I love philosophy, science, animals, the outdoors, consider myself spiritual but not religious. and am a socially-conscious progressive.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working on a new screenplay and running a Kickstarter campaign right now. I also tutor high school kids and do freelance editing and I teach a course on screenwriting at the local adult school.
I’m really good at
Sculpting and drawing, discussing politics, theory, art, history. I'm very well informed about world religions and spirituality, and have studied yoga, tai chi, reiki, and shiatzu massage.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder Crohn's disease when I was 9 years old. Consequently, I was sick - and in and out of hospitals - a lot during my adolescence. After a major surgery at 18* (where they removed a foot of my small intestine), and learning that I was/am allergic/sensitive to gluten (sigh...), I have been symptom free for 11 years and counting!
