My self-summary
I'm not great at talking about myself. I went to Lewis and Clark College and have been living in Portland since graduating in 2011. I love science as well as film, reading, television and videogames. I love food, both eating and cooking, and physical activity of all kinds.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working as a programmer and analyst at an environmental consulting firm. In my free time I swim, hang out with friends, or watch some TV/movies.
I’m really good at
Working with technology, and helping others navigate the digital age. I'm a good conversationalist, and I have a knack for making others laugh. And frying things. Increased risk of heart attack is a hazard of hanging out with me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty tall and unusually skinny. After that, though, I like to think my sense of humor stands out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Ender's Game, A Beautiful Mind, The Millenium Trilogy, The Bourne Trilogy, The Harry Potter Series, The Game of Thrones Series, Cosmos, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, 1984, Watchmen, many more that slip my mind at the moment.

Movies: A Beautiful Mind, Singing in the Rain, Gladiator, Gran Torino, The Dark Knight, Snatch, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Airplane!, Inglorious Basterds, too many others to mention

TV Shows: Game of Thrones, Firefly, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Sherlock, The Simpsons

Food: Aside from a few (occasionally unusual) dislikes, I'm a big fan of most kinds of food. Asian cuisine as a whole rates pretty high on my list, and I love to hit the food carts.
Six things I could never do without
Good food
Bad food
The internet
A nearby body of water
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Science and technology, the future, what to eat next, sports.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either hanging out with friends, or kicked back watching a good movie/playing a good game. Or both.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
No shortcuts, you gotta get to know me if you want to hear that.
You should message me if
If you wear a helmet while biking
