My self-summary
Hi, I'm Jarrah!

More confident than most, and just a bit of a show off.

Don't let my nerdisms intimidate you.

Despite my usual introversion I enjoy getting out on occasion with friends or sometimes just by myself when I have some downtime. Otherwise I'm pretty content just being a homebody and staying indoors playing games online with friends, watching Netflix, or building/painting figurines. Despite my homebodiedness I'm still decently athletic (yay genetics!).

I'm a good listener as well, and enjoy listening to stories and anecdotes. I'm never afraid to laugh or at least show that I find something comical, if I think something's particularly silly I usually make it a point to say such.

All in all, if you're going to expect anything out of me, expect me to be honest.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently doing freelance work mainly in painting comissions for miniatures and driving uber to fill in the gaps. Recently a 3D artist working at a studio for the past five years until my boss decided to make some (possibly intentionally) uninformed decisions which led to my termination.

In my off time I do a number of reenactment shows as my primary hobby around the Tampa bay area. If you've been to the Sarasota Medieval Fair, the Bay Area Renaissance Festival, or John Levique Pirate Days, you've probably seen me swinging a sword about already.
I’m really good at
CG Art Development (considering it's something I've been paid to do)
Stage combat fighting (Because it's a hobby I kind of get paid to do)
Building and painting little plastic dudes for moneys (combine the top two)
Coming up with ideas
Daydreaming (So many daydreams...)
Being silly
Being decently athletic
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair, as it is. I've also been told I have nice eyes and a very calm demeanor. Also, apparently my fingernails are pretty well kept for a guy and my butt's worth mentioning.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm not much of a book worm. I do much more light reading like articles, interviews, technical documents, and graphic novels/comics type stuff. Scott Pilgrim is probably the one series I've most enjoyed recently reading.

Movies; I like most types of movies, ranging from musicals to comedies to the occasional horror film.

Thanks to Netflix I've started watched a few tv shows, Daredevil and Marco Polo being the best thus far.

As far as music goes, I'm pretty much a classic metal head and classic rock type of guy. I practically consider pop culture to be the bane of my existence. However, there are a few exceptions like Mumford and the occasional Taylor Swift song . One band I've really been into lately is called Nekrogoblikon (goblin thrash metal, look it up, it's awesome) as well as Anamanaguchi and Diablo Swing Orchestra (swing/jazz metal, also awesome). Otherwise I listen to a lot of video game soundtrack stuff and songs from the 70's-90's.

As for food, Pizza's my favorite. I also really enjoy Thai, Hispanic food, as well as most homestyle type foods (mashed potatoes, baked chicken, etc.). I'm practically a carnivore as well, and often poke fun at vegans and vegetarians (you've been warned ;P).

I'm gonna put video games and board games here too since it seems applicable. As far as genres go, I really enjoy a good strategy game. Anything ranging from chess, to SC2, WC3 or the Civ series to a range of board games like Stratego, Settlers of Catan and a slew of others. Me and my friends are really into League of Legends and overwatch right now.

I'm big into 40k as well, one of those rare Dark Eldar players. I mainly enjoy the building and painting aspect but quite enjoy the game itself too. Not sure what 40k is or think it could be interesting? Just ask, I'd be happy to indulge you :D !

Party games like the halo series and any smash bros. game make for a good time as well. As far as single player experiences my favorite games have been made by Double Fine (Brutal Legend and Psychonauts).

Yes, as said before I am a big gamer, and to be honest I'm looking for a girl who's at least into games. You don't have to be a huge gamer but it definitely helps the closer you are to being such.
Six things I could never do without
-A computer, unless I decide to go with a different career choice.

-A mild-cool temperature (I hate the heat).

-Something that can keep time.

-Some sort of alarm, otherwise I'd probably end up sleeping the whole day XD.

-A comfortable chair of some sort, my back bothers me sometimes.

-Lastly I'd say Skype, just because it keeps communication with all my out-of-town buddies a lot simpler.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Heavier things than I'd prefer for a day to day basis, like religion and interpersonal communication, as well as the more common worries. If you're really curious, feel free to ask! :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Up in Tampa prepping for stage combat rehearsals early the next morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cosplay when I get the chance, so far I've been Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop and Jay from anything Jay and Silent Bob have been in. But for the most part I'm a pretty open book, you could ask me most anything and I'd answer honestly xD
You should message me if
Congratulations! You made it to the end of my probably unnecessarily long profile, here's a cookie.

All the same, feel free to shoot me a message if you find me intriguing. I'm pretty much at the point where after years of romanticizing relationships and all that jazz I'm willing to just let loose and enjoy a few casual instances that may show up along the way. Anything that sounds like it could be a good time really. One of those things where I'm still searching for "the one and only" but willing to make a few stops along the way. So don't be shy! I'll definitely at least respond to you.

Bonus points for those with fierce eyeliner and know how to talk proper nerdy ;)

Pok'e goers both welcome and prefered.

PS. If you're not within 25 miles of Sarasota it's unlikely I'll message first.
