My self-summary
I am a songwriter-performer, a radical (anti-cap, anti-racist, feminist, etc.) and a veteran romantic.

I'm queer and polyamorous, and have a wonderful partner in feralghost, but I'm here because I'm always open to new connections with awesome people: specifically, more boys and non-gender-normy folks.

I'm a pretty big goofball/spazzoid IRL, but I am doomed to come off way more serious in this setting. I can't not sing or dance.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to create art--specifically, songs--that brings wisdom and comfort, reveals truth and challenges power. I perform pretty regularly in SF and the East Bay.

Fighting for a world free of exploitation and oppression. Talking about politics, history, theory, tactics a lot.

I've been doing the funemployment thing for a year, but just started looking for waged work again. All good things...
I’m really good at
Writing songs.
Analyzing the ethics/politics of a situation.
Talking it out.
Being a sweetheart.
The first things people usually notice about me
My luxuriant rattail.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Forever feeling inadequate about being sufficiently well-versed in all the above media (except food perhaps)...

Mostly political theory/history reading anymore, though it's slow-going.

The only TV I watch is Star Trek. Just finished TNG and started DS9.

"Oh, I like all kinds of music..." *wanking gesture* Yes, I do, but mostly anymore it's some folksy shit. Preferably gut-wrenching. Political but not preachy. Past (and future?) loves include punk, jazz, some scattered hip hop.

I love just about any cuisine, and I enjoy cooking. I care about food justice, but I also bristle at the elitism in much of the health food 'movement'. I'll always have a soft spot for junk food (screw you mom!). I was vegetarian for nine years before retiring from it last year, but I can still cook up a vegetarian storm.
Six things I could never do without
My songs
Other songwriters who inspire me
People who get it
People who give a shit
Something to eat, fer chrissakes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The struggle
The historical root of systemic oppressions and their interdependence
How to avoid having a real job so I can actual create things of value for myself and the world
Contriving an elaborate setup for a truly awful pun
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing a show, or going to a friend's. Something political. Hanging out with a cutie. Working on a song.

Or alternately, being on the fucking internet :P
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just can't be bothered to write back if I'm not interested. Sorry, I just can't.
You should message me if
You enjoy discussing radical politics.

You'd be down to play a game of chess, watch Star Trek, or go see some local music.
