My self-summary
Grew up on Cape Cod, been living in Boston for four years, love exploring the city.

As a part-time extrovert, I like to host gatherings or look for events with new people and good conversation. Afterwards I like to come home to read a book, relax with a movie, or play classical guitar.

I like to goof around and make people laugh, but I'm always there for my friends when they need me. I'm looking for a meaningful relationship, short term or long term.
What I’m doing with my life
I have an apartment in Somerville. I make a living writing computer code, which is like being a regular writer except with the world's pickiest copy editor.

In my spare time, I perform with a really talented improv group (think of the show Whose Line is it Anyway).

I also record a comedy podcast with three close friends; we've published about 30 episodes so far.

Other things I like: nerdy board games, weightlifting, poker, bowling, disc golf, tennis, hiking, and scuba diving.
I’m really good at
Making friends, telling stories, foosball, puns, breaking things, fixing things, finding coins in the couch cushions, going down ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: All of Star Wars, The Hitchhiker's Guide, biographies and non-fiction in general.
Movies: Almost Famous, The Departed, Kill Bill Vol. 2
TV: Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Firefly, Futurama, Doctor Who, various anime
Music: Aerosmith, The Beatles, Devo, Guns n' Roses, Daft Punk, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, anything that isn't jazz
The six things I could never do without
Work and whiskey, wandering and whimsy, women and wine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether personality tests work; games, music, science, why girls like horses so much, the deliciousness of foods, how to stop Nicki Minaj
On a typical Friday night I am
Visiting friends and family on Cape Cod, watching theater, shooting pool, eating caviar on my yacht with an ivory spoon
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've read 50 Shades of Grey -- and the writing is truly terrible.

I have weird, stunningly detailed dreams almost every night that will one day make an excellent coffee table book.
You should message me if
You are a maker of music and a dreamer of dreams. Or you're just totally badass.

You are fun and assertive.

You can do a pullup.
