My self-summary
Educated as an artist and designer, I did graphic design for many years but the soul crushing nature of corporate politics combined with the life draining ambience of working in a basement caused me to flee that scenario. I started a business and ran a very cool second hand and antiques store which due to a number of factors ended up failing spectacularly. So now we are back to square one, where I am attempting to figure out how to support myself mostly doing art and other projects.

Feel free to say hi if you'd like, and I'll self-summarize in more depth for you directly. Conversation is great, small talk eludes me. As in, why must some people go on and on about the weather, or what day of the week it is, just to keep their mouths moving? New friendships right now would be welcome.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to sort out an art studio and work on a bunch of projects that are piling up. Working part time at concerts and music festivals. Writing when I can. Keeping it all together, being stealth homeless.
I’m really good at
Making you laugh. Taking the other side of an argument.
Rescuing crap from the dumpster and making it into something you want to put in your apartment. Keeping other people's pets entertained.
The first things people usually notice about me
They usually don't notice me at all. Then, when they finally do, they're all like, "Hey, who's that weirdo?" And I'm all like, "Who you callin' weird, you freak?" And then they're all like "Seriously, you're weird AND funny lookin'" and then I'm all like, "... uh...yeah, I guess I sort of am..."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music ... all the sub-genres of 'rock' are worthwhile ... then mix in a little of everything else ... I like to keep discovering new stuff and not stagnate.

Do I need to do a list of what's on my iPod? Beck, Jesca Hoop, Muse, Foo Fighters, Bent Knee, KT Tunstall, The Kinks, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jenny Lewis, Joe Strummer, Belly, Pomplamoose, OK Go, Tegan and Sara, Neko Case, Company of Thieves, The Weepies, Peter Gabriel, Shins

I don't read much right now, trying to spend that time writing. I just finished reading a book called Quantum, which is a pretty accessible overview of the beginnings of quantum theory. Enders Game is my favorite of all time.

Chicken almostanything. Wings. New Haven Apizza. Cereal. Meatballs. I'm not a foodie, aside from pizza I generally will avoid cheese. Creatures with claws that walk around on the bottom of the sea seem to be allergic to me. Beer in general, as long as it isn't "#1-in-a-can"( I'm talking to you,Bud...). Also, IPAs, I don't get the appeal. Wine gives me heartburn, so I feel like that is a whole big thing I'm missing out on. Feel sorry for me if you'd like, I'll deal.

Not really watching a lot of TV, but I probably watch more than I think I do. Any thrift/junk/antique based reality show. Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, Last Man on Earth, Family Guy, Master of None, Eastbound & Down, Portlandia, The Daily Show, Freaks and Geeks. Don't try and tear me away from March Madness.

Movies... another list? How long? Here's a smattering: Fight Club, Princess Bride, The Matrix, This Is Spinal Tap, Crumb, Lord of the Rings, Contact, Apollo 13, Midnight Run, Terry Gilliam - anything, though Brazil is overrated, The Host, The Fall, City of Lost Children, Shawshank Redemption, Drugstore Cowboy, Iron Giant, Saving Private Ryan, Rushmore, The Station Agent, Fifth Element, Christopher Nolan films (The Prestige is underrated, Interstellar overrated)
The six things I could never do without
A scrap of paper to doodle on
IMDB
Gum
Microwave Popcorn
Google
Humor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why they don't ask me to list the 6 things I COULD do without...

Why do modern ignorant people insist on perpetuating myths that were invented by primitive ignorant people thousands of years ago.

Ways to make millions of dollars if only I had a million dollars to start with.

The future of humanity, random stuff, life, the universe, everything...

Why is there a watermelon there?
On a typical Friday night I am
Oops. Am I supposed to have a Friday night routine? Working sometimes. But probably nothing this Friday, hit me up. Hey, it's almost as if I was keeping it open for whatever you wanted to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Is that there are private things I may never admit.
You should message me if
You want to buy me a cup of coffee, because I will totally let you if you ask nicely. Or, you're in the mood to have a drink and just talk about life, or art, music, or any random thing with a smart funny weirdo.

You'd like to get to know me without the immediate expectation of starting a long term relationship, unless of course we completely fall for each other the first moment we meet.

You have something fun you want to do, but can't seem to find anyone to do it with. BOWLING! THRIFT SHOPPING!! KARAOKE!!!!

You have insider knowledge of any super cheap room in Brooklyn, because that's where I'd like to end up ideally,
and aside from all my other magnificent qualities I'm a superior(drama free) roommate.
