I've always really enjoyed learning about and using technology. Which lead to my career in the R&D field. I found I was too often uncomfortable with the corporate/government contracts world. After departing all that, I now devote some of my spare time toward not for profit community/humanitarian issues.
A few being, I crewed & produced several public access tv shows. Was quite active in the Occupy movement, on the media team. Currently volunteering at a local "community conscious" radio station. These activities have not only been rewarding, as well as loads of fun, but, they're where I've met and befriended some astonishing people.
I'm an avid cyclist and am one of the organizers for a group bike ride. (Come ride with us (me!)) I really enjoy padding my kayak with small groups of friends. I'd really like to do a lot more yakkin. I'm quite comfortable being alone, but I do love to be out with my friends on adventures! Hopeful I can find a fun loving guy to share my life & create new adventures with.
I'm pretty much a minimalist. Except for my mid-life bicycle crisis. There are currently only 4 bikes in my bicycle room. So, I'm holding it at bar..ish.
Proud to be life long Trekkie. A tech/geek sci-fi show/movie will always be my first choice. Short of that, comedies, thrillers, documentaries, &, if I must, the occasional adventure film.
I currently follow these series online: Vikings, Underground, House of Cards, & Game of Thrones. My tv is a computer monitor. I have little appreciation for cable/broadcast tv.
Mostly into whatever we're calling alternative rock now. Some 80/90s stuff is still fun, and on occasion some dance stuff moves me.
Favorite foods are Asian, Mexican, German, & Italian.
Ok, fine. YES, I do enjoy eating out. But I am a decent cook when I decide to be.
