My self-summary
I'm kind, humorous, and intelligent. I am that guy that strangers feel safe talking to. Adventure tends to find me, whether I am looking for it or not. I'm in touch with my Irish roots so I love studying Irish mythology and history, and I am trying to learn Irish Gaelic.
I enjoy conversations while tossing back a couple pints. Even better, tossing back pints during game night. I... dig... game night! I am a big fan of board games. I have two of the greatest children ever and I adore them.
What I’m doing with my life
I am considering going back to school to focus on music education. I volunteer with the local high school band. I also play gigs with a band based in the Bryan, Ohio area. If you happen to be at a show and recognize me, feel free to introduce yourself.
I’m really good at
I enjoy cooking. Even more so with someone else. Even if their only job is to make cocktails.
I am a good listener. On the other hand, I am also a storyteller. Some have called me a modern-day bard. An exaggeration on their part, but still a sentiment that makes me smile. I have been known to attract a crowd and entertain before I realize I'm doing it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have been told that I have warm and gentle eyes, and I get a lot of compliments on my beard. Some say that I am very charismatic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A long list... abridged.
Mainly reference and history books.

TV shows: I don't really watch too much TV these days. Reality TV really annoys me, though.

I'm into most types of music. Classical, classic and Southern rock. A little hardcore, alternative, industrial... Jimmi Hendrix, The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, BB King, The Beatles, Dead Can Dance, Enigma, The Chieftains, The Pogues, old Metallica... The list goes on.

Movies: Boondock Saints 1 and 2, all Monty Python, most comedies, SLC Punk, PCU, Animal House, What Dreams May Come, Jumanji, most flicks with Robin Williams, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Major League, Men At Work, and a lot of animated flicks... Obviously the influence of of my kids. :)

I do enjoy the theater, as well. My all time favorite production is Phantom of the Opera. It absolutely takes my breath away.

My next step.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not working, I'm usually looking for adventure of some kind.
You should message me if
If you're looking for a kind voice. If you like to eat, drink, and be merry. If you would like to know more about me. Chances are, there's a lot that I'll want to know about you.
