My self-summary
Decent, reasonably intelligent gentleman hopefully gaining the wisdom of experience. Been likened in appearance to Agassi, Montalbano, Simon Rimmer & George (hippo off Rainbow). Hopefully the person calling me George had an appointment at the nearest Specsavers. Neither Adonis nor Elephant Man but more like the second in character (NB without the unfortunate public humiliation).

Good-humoured (see Nietzsche's words about the growth of wisdom) and can laugh at myself. Enjoy great walks in the sunshine when possible, reading all sorts (with Bertie Bassett) and dancing the night away.
What I’m doing with my life
Doing my best to progress and keep on learning.

Keeping healthy in mind and body.

Like it if someone can appreciate the sometimes hidden beauty all around, who is not just interested in material things.
I’m really good at
Not good at brazen boasting.
The first things people usually notice about me
A friendly, warm smile (except if hiding from photos).

People who are good at accents might pick up distinctive tones.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Morse, Rebus. Films like Julieta, Victoria, The Lives Of Others, Tell No-One, The Wave. Deutschland 83, Beck. Funniest thing seen recently BBC Comedy Feeds, episode called "Fail". As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning. The Examined Mind (mine needs examining).

Bill Ryder-Jones (The Lemon Trees video at Sobar), Miles Kane (Don't Forget Who You Are video).

Tim Harford, Laurie Taylor (Thinking Allowed).

Currently can't stop playing Chiquitita (Español) 1979, find it very powerful.
The six things I could never do without
We can do without most things really if we have to.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am

At month's end can sometimes be found venturing out into the teeming metropolis and even onto the dance floor. The crowds part and applaud as I perform feats of elasticity. But I might have dreamt that last bit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In time will tell all.
