My self-summary
Oh New York New York, the land of many...sometimes too many. It's been 5 years, a couple of magazine subscriptions, a few mistakes, and way to many visits to Starbucks; but I love you as much as the first day I crossed over that bridge and went through that tunnel.
What I’m doing with my life
New York is one of those places that everyone at some point in their life aspires to live, visit, or just fly over. But I'm here working in fashion, dancing with my friends, laughing over coffee or drinks (I'm in a beer phase at the moment), cursing the snow as I trudge to work during a blizzard (Winter is my favorite season), and taking enough time to sit back and enjoy the fact that I live in this city that once; was just a backdrop for one of my favorite TV shows.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, dancing, cooking Italian food (Mama Mia!), knitting hats for other people...ask and you might be lucky enough to receive, and talking about absolutely nothing for hours on end (it's a southern thing).
The first things people usually notice about me
Height and/or smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Eat, Pray, Love, The Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao, The Help, Fahrenheit 451, tbc...

Movies - Home Alone 2, then 1, Mrs. Doubtfire, and most action flicks from the 90's (they don't make action stars like that anymore).

Music - a passion of mine and there are way too many artist and genres for me to even begin to tell you want i get down to

Food - Italian, Mexican, and Chinese hold special places in my heart, but I'm always up for trying something new
Six things I could never do without
gummi candy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think I spend a lot of time thinking about the same thing that everyone else thinks about:

Did I DVR that show on Bravo that I was so excited to watch?
I need to amp up my workout program
Is this what love is suppose to feel like?
Will Target actually have what I need this time?
Am I doing the best I can at my career?
Is this my career or just a job that is paying the bills?
Do online dating profiles actually work for gay guys?
Why does it seem like everyone has sex on the first date?
Why is the cute guy from the subway never one of my quiver matches?
Will I ever have an apartment big enough to throw an amazing dinner party?

You know stuff like that...
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm usually at home trying to make some fancy dish that i've seen on Food Network or trying to round up some friends so that we can go out and have a pretty good night to celebrate the arrival of the weekend and meet on Saturday for brunch (currently taking applications for brunch buddies now!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When walking up subway stairs or down for that matter; if there is a cute guy walking next to me and our strides sync up, I have a quick fantasy of us walking down the aisle together. Then in a flash I've envisioned a life with him. First date, relationship, fights, makeups, marriage, honeymoon, house, kids, growing old together. Then in a flash once we clear the staircase and he goes his own separate way, the fantasy is over and I'm returned back to this matrix of dating and searching for love known as New York.

... and also I sometimes crave Hawaiian Punch
