My self-summary
"I know full well that the total amount of the things I know is a tiny little pinprick of light compared with the vast unlimited darkness that surrounds it [...]"

RI native heading to Boston in September for an MFA in Media Art at Emerson. Hoping to work as a director and/or cinematographer and make films that push past the heteronormative binary garbage Hollywood loves so much. (Damn you Jurassic World for being so sexist, you had so much potential!) Aside from film I'm an avid fan of Harry Potter which may be apparent from my three HP tattoos. Other things I'm into: any and all horror films, animals, video games (red dead, fable, left4dead, borderlands, diablo iii), literature, zombies, ipas, whisk(e)y, the universe, museums, libraries, aquariums, knowledge, etc.
What I’m doing with my life
Amateur filmmaker by day, and your friendly local bartender by night. Currently working on a couple documentaries. One is currently available on iTunes, Vudu, Amazon, and other online/cable platforms. It's called "My Father's Vietnam," and you should probably watch it. Yes, this is shameless self promotion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m really good at
Re-reading Harry Potter when I have hundreds of books I've never read on my shelf.
Film making/watching.
Writing about film (currently trying to get published in FilmMatters).
Academics (seriously, I love school).
Finding new museums to visit and finding passes to greatly reduce the cost of visiting. (Your local library is your best friend!)
Discussing the zombie apocalypse.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Harry Potter, House of Leaves, The Giver, LOTR, The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, Vonnegut, Palahniuk, so much more that I can't think of at the moment...

Film scholarship by Mulvey, Creed, Haskell, etc.

Sedmikrasky, A Clockwork Orange, The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, All That Heaven Allows, Ali: Fear Eats the Soul, Blue is the Warmest Color, Stagecoach, Seven Samurai, Harakiri, Bringing Up Baby, Festen, Old Boy, Raise the Red Lantern, Breathless, Man On Wire, The Fall, Fargo, Miller's Crossing, The 400 Blows, Hero, Martyrs, The Exorcist, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Double Indemnity, Azumi, As Above/So Below, Lord of the Rings, Stepbrothers, I Love You Man, 500 Days of Summer, The Revenant, As Above So Below, most horror movies, etc etc etc

Documentaries on the Holocaust, WWII, North Korea, and other terribly depressing things.

Roseanne, The Cosby Show, The Walking Dead, Lost, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, Cosmos, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Deer Tick, The Tallest Man On Earth, Dawes, The Avett Brothers, Delta Spirit, Jonny Corndawg/Fritz, Robert Ellis, Andrew Bird, Those Darlins, Bon Iver, Hank Williams III, Noah and the Whale, Jenny Lewis, Best Coast, The Decemberists, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Joanna Newsom, Band of Horses, GlassJAw, Middle Brother, Dr. Dog, The Shins, CocoRosie, Fleet Foxes, Neutral Milk Hotel, Elvis Perkins and Dearland, First Aid Kit, Rilo Kiley, Mirah, Man Man, Beirut, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Feist, etc...
The six things I could never do without
Aside from the obvious friends/family/money/water:

Film
My Imagination
My Education
Pockets
Folk/Americana Music
Animals, all of em.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The cosmos, zombies, reasons I shouldn't be procrastinating, how magical Bernie Sanders is~
On a typical Friday night I am
Serving all you 9-5ers cocktails.
You should message me if
...any of this interests you. You're not narrow minded. You want to talk film, literature, video games, and other random geekiness. You want to drink good whiskey together or go on adventures.

Please don't message me if: you're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, don't understand why AllLivesMatter is problematic, think feminism is a dirty word, want Trump in office.
