My self-summary
Being in Utah and not being Mormon has some drawbacks, such as meeting people beyond the social niceties. So I'm trying a different approach. Please don't interpret that as bitterness. It just is what it is.

I'm looking for someone who can share common interests, but that doesn't mean we need to have everything in common. And if you want to introduce me to something, that's great too.

I've done more than most people would think, including installing a garbage disposal, regrouting tile, brewing beer, river rafting, wrote a magazine article, and presented to a group of 250 people.

Good, open-minded discussion is crucial to me. I'm not afraid to be offended, and though I try not to offend, sometimes I'm not sure where the line starts.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working for the man, hiring people to make our government better. But I also help others retire. And everything in between that has to do with HR.

But that's just work. I'm also being good to others, but not in a religious way. Recently I've been really into bowling--it's much harder than it looks. And I like to make tasty creations for no reason.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at several things:
Taking random ingredients and making something good.
Making people laugh.
Solving Problems.

I'm hoping there's something I'm forgetting
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, aside from the physical, my intellect and humor. Apparently I make people feel comfortable easily, because I attract a lot of random attention.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite books so far are mainly food-related, but not cookbooks (I can't follow a recipe). Right now, the favorites are Heat by Bill Buford and The Tummy Trilogies by Calvin Trillin. Heat documents Buford's time working for Mario Batali in his kitchen at Babbo. The Tummy Trilogiesis a series of essays related to cooking and eating. But I'm also a big fan of Ender's Game, the Jack Reacher series, and a lot of non-fiction.

My favorite movies are Usual Suspects, Super Troopers, Blazing Saddles, Ratatouille/Pixar in general, Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, Terminator 2, South Park Movie. Just saw True Grit, and it was very good.

TV shows, well: M*A*S*H, Daily Show, Colbert Report, South Park, Simpsons, Seinfeld, No Reservations, Bizarre Foods, Top Gear (UK Version), Good Eats, Iron Chef America, Top Chef, Breaking Bad, The Shield, Justified, Law and Order, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica and Caprica, Jeopardy, The Office, 30 Rock.

As far as food, I'm pretty open. I love good ethnic foods such as Thai, Indian, Japanese, and Vietnamese. but I'm also a a big fan of a burger and fries, pasta, and sandwiches. But I'm not into or interested in being a vegetarian. And I can't understand them, anyway.
Six things I could never do without
Laptop/phone/communication devices
Good cooking equipment
My car (not that it's fancy, but I have to get around somehow)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Cooking, politics, what to do on the weekend.
On a typical Friday night I am
Bowling, playing board games, cooking, or going to a relaxed bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Another one I'll have to come back to.
You should message me if
You're interested or want to hear more. But no, I won't proofread your essay for you.
