Travel seems to be a big topic around here: I've circled the globe several times... on my way to and from Tasmania. Okay, so yeah, I kinda missed all the places in between.
I love to dance... up until the elevator doors open.
I will happily sing along with the music (Oh don't cover your ears, I'm actually not too bad)... when safely out of public. Though Karaoke is very tempting.
I've built my own computers since I was a teenager - and still loyally use the same website to buy my components (mostly).
I moved to San Diego because my old life didn't feel like it fit me anymore.
I'm definitely more of an introvert. But in small groups I am practically indistinguishable from an extrovert.
The pictures I posted should have given away the fact that I'm a Comic Con geek. I don't just want to attend, I want dress up (in cosplay) so that I'm a part of the experience!
I'm also there for the shopping. The only time I really enjoy shopping is when every ten feet there is another table/booth that holds it's own unique collection of items to peruse.
My home is decorated geek chic because of all that convention shopping.
I got into weight lifting at the end of last year; nothing extreme, just 3 days a week. That's been a new and interesting experience.
Casually; Board gaming with friends for hours.
Traveling a couple times a year (mostly for comic-like conventions).
And when I can find the inspiration, I cosplay craft.
I'm always wondering what's next.
(A trip to Japan is going to be one of those)
-Not taking life too seriously.
-Analogies and metaphors.
-Willpower (most of which comes in the form of stubbornness)
1) I love fantasy novels. It's not rare for me to miss a bit of sleep because of "just one more chapter".
I would recommend anything by Anne Bishop, Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Peter V. Brett.
I also sometimes read comic books or graphic novels.
2) Pixar and Disney movies for sure. Action, Adventure, Comic book, and what you would call generally geek movies.
I also love a lot of "classic" 90s movies.
3) It's easier for me to pick favorite shows than movies. Some of the top ones are Firefly, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, Wonderfalls, Special Unit 2, Stargates SG1, Dexter, Community, a few of the Star Treks, Game of Thrones, Archer, Family Guy, Sealab 2021, Once Upon a Time... Oh, and a few dozen Anime.
Joss Whedon may very well be my deity.
4) I like music, i have music playing most of the time, but I don't consider myself a music person. So giving you a list of bands wouldn't really tell you much about me.
Italian food, Deli food, Bread, several Chinese and Thai dishes, a few things from an Indian or Mexican menu, and Brownie Sundaes.
I do not enjoy sea food.
I'm not a foodie. That has been confirmed. I like a variety of things, but I have fairly simple tastes.
-The Internet: There is just so much knowledge to find! Just check behind the porn.
-Computers: What? It's part of my job... okay fine, I'm just a tech guy.
-Friends: Everything is better shared. Well, almost everything.
-Privacy: Oh thank the gods, I'm so sick of those people.
-Games: Especially board games. But there is room for some video, card, and general table top gaming.
And I'm always thinking "What's Next?"
You can bring some positive energy with you. I could use some more "let go do something!" people in my life.
You want a partner to try something new with.
