My self-summary
Have you ever heard of Kintsugi?
It's the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery in such a way that the flaws are made beautiful. In essence, you don't pretend that there was never a flaw, you recognize that the flaw (and it's subsequent repair) are important to the object's history.
I think that it's pretty cool. And that is pretty well describes most people.

People want random facts, right?

Travel seems to be a big topic around here: I've circled the globe several times... *ahem* okay fine, so I missed most of the stops along the way.

I love to dance... up until the elevator doors open.

I will happily sing along with the music (Oh don't cover your ears, I'm actually not too bad)... when safely out of public. Though Karaoke is very tempting.

I moved to San Diego because my old life had been feeling like it didn't fit me anymore.

I would say that I have strong willpower, but most of it seems to be made out of stubbornness. But it still seems to work pretty well.

The pictures I posted should have given away the fact that I'm a Comic Con geek. I don't just want to attend, I want dress up (in cosplay) so that I'm apart of the experience!
I'm also there for the shopping. The only time I really enjoy shopping is when every ten feet there is another table or booth that holds it's own unique collection of items to peruse.
My apartment is decorated in a unique way because of that sort of shopping. And each item on my wall makes me remember something interesting (and likely geeky).
What I’m doing with my life
Casually? Board gaming with friends for hours.
Traveling a couple times a year (mostly for comic-like conventions - strap on that cosplay, we're going in).
And when I can find the inspiration, I craft for those cosplays.

On the professional side; I'm a Network engineer - a pretty good one at that. It took about ten years, but I can say with 100% confidence that I'm successful.

I'm always wondering what's next.
(A trip to Japan is going to be one of those)
I’m really good at
-Making people laugh; It's true, I'm hilarious.
-Understanding what you mean.
-Baking; but only the unhealthy things.
-Carrying my end of the conversation.
-Following through.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I look like my pictures. No, no, it's true.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
These sort of lists can be tricky. Favorites change. So I'm going to try and speak in generalities - with a few examples tossed in.

1) I love fantasy novels. It's not rare for me to miss a bit of sleep because of "just one more chapter".
I would recommend anything by Anne Bishop, Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Peter V. Brett.
I also sometimes read comic books or graphic novels.

2) Pixar and Disney movies for sure. Action, Adventure, Comic book, and what you would call generally geek movies.
I also love a lot of "classic" 90s movies.

3) It's easier for me to pick favorite shows than movies. Some of the top ones are Firefly, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, Wonderfalls, Special Unit 2, Stargates SG1, Dexter, Community, a few of the Star Treks, Game of Thrones, Archer, Family Guy, Sealab 2021, Once Upon a Time... Oh, and a few dozen Anime.
Joss Whedon may very well be my deity.

4) I like music, i have music playing most of the time, but I don't consider myself a music person. So giving you a list of bands wouldn't really tell you much about me.

5) Breakfast.
Italian food, Deli food, Bread, several Chinese and Thai dishes, a few things from an Indian or Mexican menu, and Brownie Sundaes.
I do not enjoy sea food.
I'm not a foodie. That has been confirmed. I like a variety of things, but I have fairly simple tastes.
The six things I could never do without
-Books: I love the feel and smell of a physical book. But digital is winning in terms of convenience.

-The Internet: There is just so much knowledge to find! Just check behind the porn.

-Computers: What? It's part of my job... okay fine, I'm just a tech guy.

-Friends: Everything is better shared. Well, almost everything.

-Privacy: Oh thank the gods, I'm so sick of those people.

-Games: Especially board games. But there is room for some video, card, and general table top gaming.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about possibilities a lot; both real and absurd ones.

And I'm always thinking "What's Next?"
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not a very private person. But I'm also not an exhibitionist. So you'll have to actually ask questions to get private answers, I wont just shotgun out private information.
You should message me if
You consider yourself a geek, dork, or nerd.

You can bring some positive energy with you. I could use some more "let go do something!" people in my life.

You want to suggest something new for me to try.
