I also have an insatiable curiosity for the supernatural, for science fiction, and for all the ways the imagination can wander. Why does Halloween come only once a year? So, I put those musings in my screenplays. No, I haven't made a sale yet, but I found a wonderful theory on story structure that's helped me enormously.
Some of my other interests: Egyptology, Theoretical Physics, and Languages. I tried studying Japanese on my own... what a challenge.
To keep in shape, I like to jog or walk 3-4 times a week in the park, and enjoy some relaxing swimming.
Getting together with friends for Scrabble every week. Really, I've learned it's is easy when you flip the tiles over and use them as blanks :-)
If you notice, I selected "Financial" for Job in the profile. To pay the bills, I've been working in an insurance office. It's nice.
They soon discover how deeply I think about things.
TELEVISION: If you want to strike up a conversation, just ask me about Star Trek. Nothing else comes close, except The X-Files and Seinfeld. If you want good, constructive movie debate, watch Siskel and Ebert in their heyday.
There's little current television I watch, but I always stay tuned for America's Got Talent and Family Guy.
Wait, there's more. If you didn't catch I grew up in the 80s you will now... Married... With Children, Night Court, and WKRP.
If I lived in the 60s, I'd relish writing for The Dick Van Dyke Show, Get Smart, and Dennis the Menace. In fact, actually in high school I wrote a few spec scripts just for practice. Then there's a spate of supernatural comedies, like Bewitched and The Munsters. There's no doubt why they still endure. One more thing... thank you, Nickelodeon for giving us You Can't Do That On Television.
That addition to my home to house all these dvds is coming.
Many times I'm intrigued more by the tv pilots and obscure one-season shows. Somebody smart ought to put release those on dvd.
MOVIES: Ed Wood directed by Tim Burton, Ghostbusters, Notting Hill, Back to The Future, Indiana Jones, The Karate Kid, and, of course, Star Wars. Extra points if you know Bringing Up Baby, super extra points for liking Free Enterprise.
MUSIC: 80s music still rules, with Billy Joel and Madonna standing out as true artists. Don't forget all those television themes. I'm not really picky, except rap doesn't do anything for me and I haven't acquired a taste for country.
BOOKS: The Holographic Universe, The Fourth Turning, Hamlet's Mill, Manetho: A Study of Egyptian Chronology, The Mothman Prophecies, Harlan Ellison's Watching, Supernatural by Graham Hancock, and The Fifty Worst Films of All Time.
FOOD: Definitely Chinese and Italian. I love lasagne like nothing else.
COMEDIANS: Lewis Black is by far my favorite, but I also like Jake Johanson and Don Rickles.

Mythologies and where they come from. Kabbalah
Praying there will be a Sci Fi Channel Classic with, you know... sci-fi. True they have more original movies, but I miss the "special package" treatment and interviews they'd include.
If given the chance, how I would've written some movie bombs differently.
