My self-summary
Wii-fit once told me I was like a golden retriever because of how loyal I was. Not sure how I feel about this, but I guess it's true that all men are dogs. I love dogs.

If I were a drink I'd be two parts horny to one part lonely. Or maybe two parts clueless to one part desperate. I like to drink.

I grew up Catholic, but now prefer the Nancy Reagan approach to religion. I just say no.

At the risk of sounding cliche, I'm pretty shy at first, but open up once you get to know me. I especially open up in conversations about things I'm passionate about.

I'm particularly into politics and social justice. I get along best with people who vote. Especially if you voted for Bernie and Kloppenburg in the primary, but are pragmatic enough to vote for Hilary in the general. If you're a Trump supporter, please move along.
What I’m doing with my life
Starting a job as a cable install tech. I'm pretty positive that I won't want to do it forever. It is however way closer to what I want to do than the customer service jobs I've been working the past decade.

Getting fit, I've started working out regularly. I've lost thirty pounds in the last couple years. Down sixty off my peak weight.

Spending time outdoors. Especially biking and kayaking. I want to get up to my family's cabin just north of the Dells a few more times this summer.

Trying to be better at developing lasting relationships.

Also trying to be better at relaxing and enjoying the moment.
I’m really good at
I'm a pretty decent cook. I won best dish at my company holiday pot luck last year. I worked with a bunch of foodies so that was quite the honor.

I've been told I'm a good listener.

Trying to be funny, sometimes successfully, other times just making an ass of myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I consume a lot of media, and I'm not good at playing favorites. This list is always both too long and incomplete.

TV: Broad City, Garfunkel and Oats, Rick and Morty, Brooklyn Nine Nine, The Daily Show, Last Week Tonight, Vice, Shameless, Top Gear, Bobs Burgers.

Books: John Sandford, and Lee Child are my favorite beach reads. Nickeled and Dimed, The New Jim Crow.
The six things I could never do without
Family and Friends
Two wheeled vehicles
Travel
Dogs
Skiing
Books

I would probably list sex here, but life pretty consistently proves me wrong.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think I think too much, I think.
On a typical Friday night I am
Saturday will be my Friday at my new job. I'll be getting done earlier than my last job. I hope to either be hanging with friends or family. If that doesn't happen I'm heading up to my families cabin (It's really a lake house, we just call it a cabin to avoid the privileged guilt.)

I also hope to locate my missing testicles and ask out a few women one of these days. So maybe that, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.

You're least likely to find me spending all night in a bar. Been there, done that.
You should message me if
You live closeish and want to meet.

You're cool wth the fact I can be shy until I get to know you.

You have suggestions for good places to launch my kayak.

You want to.
