My self-summary
Maryland native with a quiet sense of charm. Books were my first love affair as my overly crowded bookcase can tell you. I love music of almost any genre- pick a song with awesome lyrics and a good drum or bass line and I'm hooked. I also love a wide range of movies, everything from the classics to new indie favorites. Just a pretty cool lady to hang around.
What I’m doing with my life
Working my day-job for a local college as a academic advisor, and working on the side to be the best writer/producer ever with a local media company.
I’m really good at
Writing. Listening. Trying my hardest to make people feel welcome and comfortable.
The first things people usually notice about me
I come off as shy and introverted but I warm up once I get to know people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm an eclectic sort of gal so my taste run the gamut.

The Chronicles of Narnia, Coffee Will Make You Black, Cold Mountain, Emperor of Ocean Park, Ghost World, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, The Isle of Dogs, Kamikaze Girls, Phantoms, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, The Lovely Bones, The Transall Saga, V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, Y: The Last Man, Bitter Is the New Black, The Awakening, Babyji, Fingersmith, Anything Horror From Stephen King, Tropic of Orange.

I enjoy music from a variety of genres. From jazz to rock, electronica to R&B, I'll listen to almost anything.

25th Hour, Bend It Like Beckham, Chicago, The Devil Wears Prada, Freeway, Ghost World, Kamikaze Girls, Liberty Heights, Live from Baghdad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Saving Grace, SWEENEY TODD, The Triumph of Love, Welcome to the Dollhouse, My First Mister, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Hairspray, Jennifer's Body, Inglourious Basterds, RoboCop, The Incredibles, Sister Act, Fire, District 9, Alien, Ghost Busters

As an undergrad, I didn't have much time to watch t.v. so I'm a bit behind on what's out and popular. But I do like HBO shows like True Blood and Game of Thrones.

I love international food! Spicy and savory food are my favorites, so I tend to gravitate to Spanish, Indian, and Italian foods the most.
The six things I could never do without
My precious free time, my friends, my music collection, a empty notebook, the internet (and my computer for that matter), and my book and movie collection.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can change the world through the students I advise and the media I create, life from as many perspectives as possible.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm out with friends, making plans to eat, watch a movie, or play some video games or I'm home reading, trying to catch up with new movies and t.v. shows, or playing video games solo. When I can, I like to drag my friends around D.C. and the surrounding metro area to watch plays, indie movies, or simply people watch on nice evenings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
On the internet? I tend to get flustered when talking to people who interest me or talking about subjects that interest me. Don't mind me if I slow down to gather my thoughts, I'm just trying to not sound totally incomprehensible :).
You should message me if
You love talking about a myriad of subjects in a comfortable setting, whether we're talking about the newest movie, concert, or videogame or the lastest world news. Relaxing and watching said movies or playing said videogames are also an option too.
