My self-summary
I'm an introvert who enjoys the company of a few people over a roaring party. A good game of Cards Against Humanity is what I would call a good evening.

There are rare occasions where I am unusually extroverted (I love grey areas). When in this mode, I'm told I'm especially charismatic, more so than usual (you see, I'm already rather charming). I tend to be very flirty in this mindset, and you will feel like the most beautiful woman to walk the planet on those days.

I can be stubborn and passionate about my views, but I'm also very accepting of others. I'm willing to change my viewpoint if presented with evidence.

I quite honestly do not take myself very seriously. I don't get offended easily, which is probably why I have a problem filtering out inappropriate jokes.

I try my best to accept criticism graciously. There is always room for improvement. However, I'm not perfect (see what I did there?).
What I’m doing with my life
I recently graduated from UTD with a Bachelor's in Chemistry. I am working on my Master's in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience. I want to perform research on a variety of mood disorders, particularly depression and bipolar disorder (with a potential focus on Neuropharmacology).

I want to know why certain chemicals interact with our receptors; which functional groups are responsible for "locking" into a receptors active site. My ultimate goal is to help develop medical delivery systems that are both effective and affordable for the general public using my knowledge of chemistry, neuroscience, and nanotechnology.
I’m really good at
Singing (Karaoke!)
Cooking (Even vegetarian if needed)
Telling long stories (sometimes too long heh)
Dancing (well, at least I think I can dance)
Making jokes at completely inappropriate times
Bowling (180-200 consistently is considered really good for me)
Daydreaming about nonsense (it is very relaxing)
The first things people usually notice about me
Do people actually tell you that sort of thing?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't read much outside of my school textbooks. Chemistry and neuroscience consume my bookshelf. Maybe one day, I'll read some fiction again.

I'm a fan of all kinds of movies. I love to watch horror films (the kind that are scary enough to give you nightmares, the kind that are laughably terrible, and everything in between them). Action movies are also on the top of my list, and again I'll take cheesy along with awesome. Sci-fi films are also fantastic. I guess, ultimately, I like as many bad movies as I like good movies.

For television, I've enjoyed watching Stargate (film and series), Scrubs, Married with Children, Law and Order, Star Trek, South Park, Ugly Americans, Better Off Ted, Big Bang Theory, Two and A Half Men (Pre-Ashton), Spin City, Dexter, Top Chef, and many many more shows. I even watch some anime from time to time.

My music exposure is typically what I hear from friends and the radio. Some bands I'm listening to currently are Dream Theater, Mastadon, Liquid Tension Experiment, Erasure, Wham!, Queen, Aerosmith, Muse, The Black Crowes, and so much stuff from the radio (Like Adele and Maroon 5...I know...). I also love to sing along to musicals like Rent, The Last Five Years, and pretty much any Disney musical.

I have a weird relationship with food. I love the way it tastes, but I'm not a fan of how I feel after eating. Need it to survive, nonetheless... I'll eat pretty much any kind of food: BBQ, Indian, Mexican, Italian, Seafood, Fast Food... I'm not a particularly picky eater. I do enjoy cooking and trying to make new recipes.

I know it's not listed, but video games are a major source of entertainment for me. My favorite types of games are RPGs (I can't resist a good storyline or an interesting combat system) and Fighters (though I can't say I'm always good at them). Action-adventure games are also very high on my list.
Six things I could never do without
my awesome bed
my ps3
my family
human interaction.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend an unusual amount of time thinking about superpowers. I don't mean superheroes, just powers. I've even developed a fully-fleshed out concept for the superpower I'd like to have. Ask me about it sometime ;).

Also, I love finding out about the various ancient mythologies. The stories are usually pretty great.
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with my friends either jamming in our music room (I'm either on the drums or singing), watching good and bad movies, or having a night of bowling/board-gaming.

Sometimes, on a quiet night, I will just spend the evening listening to music while playing a game in my room. I have several "online" friends that I made over the years of playing Final Fantasy XI with whom I still play other games (either a fighter or, if we can find one, an action-adventure RPG).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I one day wish to own a pet bunny. A big one named Charles.

I believe a genuine friendship can develop over the internet. It's just like having a pen pal, but it's more interactive and you share some memories together.
You should message me if
So long as you make an equivalent effort that males are expected to make on this site, I'll likely respond to you.

I get along with most everyone, so if you are compelled to do so, do it. I like surprises (for the most part).
