My self-summary
Ever evolving... very kind, compassionate and confident.

If you enjoy poetry, read "The Layers" by Stanley Kunitz for insight into my path.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently sold my business to a firm in KC, training for the current marathon/triathlon season and planning for the next chapter in my life... to the extent one can really prepare. 2016 was an extremely enjoyable year as I balanced my passion for athletic activity with an equally concerted effort to find the right long-term relationship. Like everything else in life, it will happen when it is meant to.

I am also taking time to just "be"! To appreciate every aspect of life for its natural beauty and to make time to enjoy it. My life is a very peaceful space with plenty of room to share it with someone with similar interests and desires.
I’m really good at
Making other people feel welcome and involved.
The first things people usually notice about me
I listen to them when they speak.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My taste for what I read, watch or listen to is varied and dynamic. I gravitate to what I find stimulating or enjoyable at the moment and then simply wallow in all it has to offer.

I welcome recommendations from others as it often leads me down a unique path while providing insight into the person who introduced it... equally fascinating.

Recently finished pieces by Gabor Mate and Matthieu Ricard and David Deida.
Currently reading a number of marathon training, nutrition and physiology books as I pursue a personal goal and "Zero Limits", a spiritual piece reinforcing that life is still perfect even if I don't achieve that goal... :)
Six things I could never do without
My children, running shoes/road bike (these two count as one), healthy food, red wine, books, sunshine... essentially in that order, but not always.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All the conflict in the world. Unlimited pleasures abound if we would simply respect and embrace one another.

The societal message that makes certain political figures remotely relevant. (I'll leave it at that, for now)

This is an evolving topic so please check back a little later.
On a typical Friday night I am
Simply chilling at home or with friends. A quiet night to unwind after a busy week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Whatever you would like to know. I am an open book.
You should message me if
If you truly believe what you wrote in your profile and want to meet someone such as you described.
