My self-summary
I'm something of a contradiction. Athletic and geeky, social but introverted.

I enjoy a good book, a long hike, dancing late.
I loathe short sightedness, pettiness, extremism, complacency.

I'm polyamorous and happily married. We are in an open relationship. First and foremost I'm looking for friends who can motivate and inspire me. If we hit it off and there's something more, great!
What I’m doing with my life
I manage a software development team during the day to pay the bills, and run a swing dance not for profit with my extra time.

I've a passion for sustainability and social justice, and would like to eventually find a way to build a career making a difference in local communities.

My current obsession is AI. I think friendly AI could solve a vast array of social ills, and that AI gone wrong could be an extinction event. Given these alternatives, getting it right seems pretty important.

I have a habit of stealing peoples passions: my house is full of musical instruments, rock climbing gear, tap shoes, eclectic board games. I'm always on the prowl for new and interesting people to learn from.

Currently into acro yoga and silks. Love to fly!
I’m really good at
Dancing. I teach blues and swing classes.
Writing. "To write well is to think clearly. That's why it's so hard."
Games. Bring it! From Starcraft to Scrabble to Baduk. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I probably saw them first. I'm usually at the edge of the room, having a quiet but intense conversation, and observing everyone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Good taste is essential for me. It says a lot about who you are. If you share some interests or--even better--know something new I would like, maybe we can be friends.
