My self-summary
Recently, living as a scholar-vagabond traveling semi-arbitrarily. Now, taking a moment to find where best to put pressure on the world to make it budge.

Arguably true: a lost soul that hasn't quite decided what qualifies as "found". Though I've learned more in the search than most have known in their confidence. And knowing where you are isn't nearly as important as knowing what you're doing.
What I’m doing with my life
Staking out my corner of the universe and boldy telling chaos that it can't have it. At least not for now. (to paraphrase Dorothy Gambrell of Cat and Girl)

Neuroscientist by training, submission grappler by hobby, politics and economics "thoughtleader" by just deciding to call myself that right now 'cause why not.

Mid-term goals focused on bioinformatics and concretizing insight into algorithms for (I hope) a greater good.
I’m really good at
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
make for better conversations than lists. But if you're the kind of person that sits in the dark just to listen to music, reads books that make you think, and likes to be surrounded by things that challenge you (at least, say, 1/2 the time) I'd probably enjoy that conversation.

But, here're three pair+ that are up there:
Vehicles: Experiments in Synthetic Psychology & The Things They Carried & The Last Samurai (not about "samurai") |||
Harold and Maud & Antonia's Line |||
Ryoji Ikeda & Cut Chemist & Elizabeth Cotten |||
Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Beauty, the mind, what can be known, how it can be known, athletic puzzles, the relationship between epistemology and ethics, the importance of madness ("Sanity is madness put to good use.", ~G. Santayana), what seems to be the rarity of heartrending caring (about life/causes/ideas, not individuals ;), the often not petty logistical details of life, when it is dangerous to create things that may be misused and when it is dangerous to do nothing at all.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that you're awesome. Yes, you.
...aaaaand, apparently a little vain.
You should message me if
You're not overly intimidated by the fact that I'm quite intimate with some amazing people who share my distaste for artificial scarcity.

and either:

(1) You've a mind like a diamond, a bleeding heart, and very sharp teeth. (i.e. you're incisive, give many damns, and don't live life meekly)

(2) You think sex and physicality are kinds of communication and you've acquired the body intelligence to engage in meaningful dialogue. (e.g. you probably take some body puzzle sports/arts like rock climbing or dance seriously and you're uninhibited enough that you touch to talk and listen rather than play a rote role)
ps: I sometimes don't do well at responding to mail. If so: know nothing personal is meant, you're still loved. Think of the silence as like... a zen hug. =)

*yes, that's an inclusive_or; thank you for caring
