My self-summary
You've found yourself to my profile! Welcome! I assume you're here because I sent you a message and you followed it to me here. Since you've come this far, don't be rude and send me a message. It's not like I can fart on you over the internet. :D

I'm a guy who enjoys all types of humor, from low brow fart jokes obviously to political and social satire. Everything in between is fair game. Which may include making fun of you too! ;)

I'm very emotionally stable so I rarely get angry or depressed. I'm self-confident, trusting and patient with my friends. Jealously isn't a part of my nature. I trust till I'm given a good reason not too. Even still, I like to believe in everyone's potential to be good if not great people because at some point, everyone one is or was to someone else. Which is why I treat my friends pretty well and once you have my friendship, it's extremely hard to lose it.

I'm fine on my own and have plenty of great friends, hopefully your name can be added to that list. Even better if you like to dance or karaoke or catch a movie or live theatre show. I'm not a bar star per say as I don't drink, in fact I D.D. my own birthdays.
What I’m doing with my life
I try to stay active in the arts community by attending plays and musicals but haven't gotten to see as much I'd like. Guess I could technically say that about seeing movies, traveling and taking up a sport. It's easier to do these sort of things with someone else I suppose as others make you procrastinate less.

I serve on the board of a non-profit community strings ensemble where I also play violin. I played years ago and some of my old colleagues and I decided we liked playing for fun. Currently working with another old colleague in helping set one up based in Brazil.

Also slowly building up a financial consulting gig on the side to help people get to retirement properly. Additionally it ought to help me get to retirement sooner too. ;)
I’m really good at
communicating. You understand the importance of communication when dealing with issues such as politics, religion and morality as well as having studied theatre. I'm also big into performing arts so I like to think I'm a good actor, singer and dancer. Pretty decent at violin and piano as well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm Chinese? That's pretty visible so I'll go with that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
For reading I'm a huge nerd and love my comic books. As a result, I do like my comic book movies like Iron Man, Batman and the Avengers. Or really most action movies. It's nice to be able to shut your brain off for some mindless mayhem. Same thing with some brainless comedies. Still, as I said before, I also like sophisticated comedy, drama, sci-fi and documentaries that make you think too. As a result of growing up on Hong Kong action movies, horror movies frustrate me. My mind keeps screaming for martial art action choreography

For TV shows I'm totally into it'd be The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother (even though it's starting to drag), Community, Modern Family, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, Glee, Castle, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom and the BBC series Sherlock.

For music I'm really big into RnB and Hip Hop. Probably because I love to dance to it the most. I'm also a huge fan of musicals. I do like other genres but those I have to be in the mood for. Except country and polka, that's not happening at all. Might have something to do with me being

Food? I hate food. Food sucks. I don't eat that stuff. Oh wait, I do eat that stuff. In fact it's all the stuff I eat. Like pretty well everyone, I generally do like all kinds of food, but not so much spicy foods so much. Not that I'm allergic or anything I just don't like the taste. Seafood is my favourite though. I start drooling at the smell of even raw seafood I like it so much. :P
Six things I could never do without
My set of values
Cell phone
Car, especially in Edmonton
Hot showers
Toilet paper - This I think is one of those take it for granted things by almost everyone!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Some of the more complicated things of life such as politics, religion and morality. Also that thing I was supposed to remember that was probably important and someone's going to yell at me for not remembering. ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
I might head out to play some poker, hit the club, watch a movie, play some board games. Since I don't drink I usually snack if I'm at a pub. :P
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nothing more then what I've said so far. Can't really think of anything to write though. After all, if I'd be willing to admit it on here, it's obviously not that private to me so judging that's kinda tough.
You should message me if
you've at least included "new friends" as what you're looking for and actually mean it. Also, if you know what means to be a friend. I happen to believe if you can't honestly do that, what chance do you have at anything more?
