My self-summary
I'm a passionate, disarming & unconventional Chicago native, fighting the good fight at a politically active labor union. I love the adrenaline rush from politics & playing in volleyball & floor hockey leagues.

I have an active lifestyle & a big, eclectic group of friends. I see a lot of shows at the 9:30 Club & travel yearly on my own to new continents. I also go to a meditation / Buddhism class to decompress.

Planning to take enough time necessary to find the right, healthy relationship & eventually have a family of my own- trying to stay young & active for as long as possible!
What I’m doing with my life
Loving my career, hiking through new continents, meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds, trying new adventures: paragliding, zip lining upside down, hot air ballooning, snorkeling w/sharks, cave-diving, etc.
I’m really good at
Speaking candidly, making people laugh and feel comfortable.

Most of my friends and colleagues would say there's never a dull moment I'm around.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, voice, high energy and that I look a decade younger.

The six things I could never do without
Sirius satellite radio (music, comedy, news), candy, caffeine, physical / outdoor activity, good friends, the newspaper and dancing (perfectly comfortable being the only one on the dance floor, stone cold sober).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All of the experiences that shaped who I am today, social justice, current events and politics.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to keep in touch with the friends I've made over 15 years here in D.C. Other Friday nights I'm a guest on a radio talk show - talking politics with a former boss, or out watching friends do stand-up comedy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know less about my own religion than people of other faiths (I'm Jewish by birth but agnostic in practice).
You should message me if
You're a strong communicator & looking for a connection to develop over time. You're brave enough to meet in person, rather than writing back-and forth like avatars. Bonus points if you'd like to do something other than grab a drink!
