My self-summary
If you're looking for a partner in crime, then look somewhere else. I don't want to go to jail. ;-)

A partner for other things would be nice though.

I am back and forth a lot between Gainesville and West Palm Beach. I moved back to WPB for a job at an engineering firm, but I come back to visit Gville frequently. In WPB, I don't get out much besides work and the gym. I don't know many people or places to go, but I'd like to change that (no bars though). I'm looking for friends as well as a girlfriend, though the girlfriend search takes precedence, as I'm sure you can understand. Casual lovers are appreciated as well.

I like to think that I'm a trustworthy, mature, honest, funny, caring, intelligent, giving, loyal, and creative person, though of course I'm not without faults, but we can get to those later. I'm looking for a nice woman who has similar positive qualities.

I have a lot of interests. One of them is tropical fruits. If you're looking for a good conversation starter, I'd love to hear about your favorite local fruits. Or tell me a story from your past that has something to do with fruit. I bet you can think of something fun :-). If you're into fruits too, maybe we can go foraging together.

Have you ever thought about how lots of people can write a nice profile or act charming and interesting, only to reveal their terrible true selves later? (I hear that happens on these sites all the time.) How can you tell who is actually a good person and who is faking it? I have an idea that might help. We could provide references! I will give you phone numbers of multiple women who are not related to me, and who have known me for years, who can give you their honest assessment of my character.
What I’m doing with my life
Learning, living, Trying to keep in shape, and working on being the best Michael I can be. I left Gainesville 2 years ago, where I most recently worked as an assassin, in addition to running a nonprofit called the Edible Plant Project (EPP) (Before I scare you away, I should mention that I only assassinated invasive plants). I currently work as an ecologist and GIS analyst with an engineering company in WPB. I still advise EPP and visit 5-8 times a year.
I’m really good at
figuring things out, fixing things, anything to do with plants, and writing political satire on occasion. I give great massages - living in Gainesville, half of my friends went to massage school there so I've picked up a few things. I make amazing salads, cobbler, pizza, and also a mean lentil soup. Yes, I like to eat healthy foods, with occasional indulgences.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm often told that hanging out with me is very educational.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite movie is Pickaxe. It's a documentary about ecodefense in the Pacific NW, Someone put it on youtube, so if you want to see it...

I don't have a TV, so I miss a lot of shows, but I try to keep up with a few on Hulu, like the Jon Stewart/Colbert, and Prisoners of War, (also loved Firefly, Jeremiah, and the Booth at the end.)

I love This American Life on NPR.

I love good healthy food. I particularly like to explore different ethnic varieties. I'm mostly vegetarian.
Six things I could never do without
A hot shower and a soft bed at the end of the day is a near necessity for me. Also, friends, good healthy food, fruits, nature, etc.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the environment
the future
public policy
what I'm making for dinner
what I'm going to plant next and other projects
On a typical Friday night I am
...with family, though I would also love to start connecting with folks here in South Fla. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Would it be presumptuous to say "world's greatest lover"? probably. So I guess I just admitted that I'm presumptuous. ;-)
You should message me if
If you might like to go out on a date and see how we like each other or if you think we could be friends.
If you are a fellow fruit tree lover.
If you're doing something to make the world a better place
The two of us
