A partner for other things would be nice though.
I grew up here, but lived in Gainesville for 17 years. I moved back about two years ago for a job at an engineering firm. I don't get out much besides work and the gym. I don't know many people or places to go, but I'd like to change that (no bars though). I'm looking for friends as well as a girlfriend, though the girlfriend search takes precedence, as I'm sure you can understand. Casual lovers are appreciated as well.
I like to think that I'm a trustworthy, mature, honest, funny, caring, intelligent, giving, loyal, and creative person, though of course I'm not without faults, but we can get to those later. I'm looking for a nice woman who has similar positive qualities.
I have a lot of interests. One of them is tropical fruits. If you're looking for a good conversation starter, I'd love to hear about your favorite local fruits. Or tell me a story from your past that has something to do with fruit. I bet you can think of something fun :-). If you're into fruits too, maybe we can go foraging together.
Have you ever thought about how lots of people can write a nice profile or act charming and interesting, only to reveal their terrible true selves later? (I hear that happens on these sites all the time.) How can you tell who is actually a good person and who is faking it? I have an idea that might help. We could provide references! I will give you phone numbers of multiple women who are not related to me, and who have known me for years, who can give you their honest assessment of my character.
I don't have a TV, so I miss a lot of shows, but I try to keep up with a few on Hulu, like the Jon Stewart/Colbert, and Prisoners of War, (also loved Firefly, Jeremiah, and the Booth at the end.)
I love This American Life on NPR.
I love good healthy food. I particularly like to explore different ethnic varieties. I'm mostly vegetarian.
