My self-summary
My name is Henry, pretty laid back person, talkative and sociable.

I'm a University graduate, I studied Modern Languages and was lucky to spend 6 months living in Tokyo. Studying Japanese has prepared me very well for any stressful environment and as a result I come across as very relaxed!

I am often described as intellectual but I'm not usually one to appropriate such a term for myself, I'll happily let people think that about me though!!

I have pretty quirky sense of humour but I love to laugh and to make people laugh, sometimes I'm really good at it too! Other times I have to just laugh at myself after making an inexcusably terrible pun...

Been feeling that my life is slightly lacking in spontaneity. I wish to rectify this...
What I’m doing with my life
Graduated from Uni in Newcastle a year ago and still say I 'just graduated' because it still feels like yesterday, started a job in Customer Care for a pharmaceuticals company. I essentially make sure nothing goes wrong and it can feel like babysitting the companies or at least their purchasers! The jump from Full time education to full time employment has been a disconcerting one.

Lamenting the ruination of my body clock... Since when is 9am a lie in?!?

Aside from working I spend a lot of time with friends, and family when I can. Still finding my feet in post-graduation life and my busy schedule has left little time to meet new people, hence why I am here!

I have discovered an ambitious streak I never knew I had and am hoping it is possible to do the corporate ladder without stabbing people in the back to get there. I'm always keen to learn new things and acquire new skills, being bored is the worst possible outcome for any endeavour...

Over capitalising Nouns due to speaking too much German...
I’m really good at
Talking, discussing and getting on with people, words are important and I genuinely believe most problems can be solved with them. (Read, not shutting up/ when does he find space to breathe)

Oh also I have very good memory which is especially suited to random Trivia.

Also, although I will never claim to be a 'good' dancer but let it not be said that I didn't dance...

Saving failed attempts at humour with sarcastic self depreciation.

Not wearing suncream then getting burnt like an idiot, forgetting it happened and by the next uear sayong with complete honesty "I don't really burn" and then declining suncream...
The first things people usually notice about me
I won't lie, I'm pretty loud. Quite talkative which people either like or don't!

Oh yeah and I'm pretty well spoken which people seem to comment on.

And my surname is Prestige, people seem to enjoy that!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: everything! I'm a definite food lover!

Books: Pretty open to most thing, probably most enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire series most recently (that's Game of Thrones, also love the TV show). Favourite stand alone books include: The Stand, Dracula, Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Oryx and Crake. I'm sure I could think of more...

Movies: Nothing too heavy, films are usually something I go to for light entertainment, the arty/emotional stuff is great but most of the time I just want to laugh! That said a friend just reminded me of a film called 'Ink' which I think is kinda indie and is one of the best films I ever saw.

Music: Recently getting interested in Electronic/House music. I won't profess to any real knowledge, but enjoy stuff by Nicky Romero, Zedd, Knife Party, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, that sort of stuff!

I'm pretty open minded... I do harbour a not so secret love for Amy MacDonald...

Shows: Very open to most things, I enjoy crime dramas, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, pretty much anything! To name examples: Game of Thrones, Bones, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Community, HIMYM, the list is long...
Six things I could never do without

Music, Food (not in the obvious sense), friends, distraction, books

TEA (yes that makes 7!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Honestly I think about a lot of things, a lot of the time. To claim that I spend a lot of time thinking about one thing would be a bare faced lie.

A good friend once said to me "your mind must be a terrifying place" I chose to take that as a compliment...
On a typical Friday night I am
Wishing I was out but my friends are totally lame and bail all the time.

Not making excuses, I'm usually chilling at home after the week at work and Saturday/Sunday is when I do fun things.

That said I also wish I spent more Friday nights out!

An evening spent in a cocktail bar in intense/lively conversation is considered an event incredibly well spent!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I will take any excuse to dress up, whether fancy-dress or fancy dress (read 'suits')
You should message me if
you are looking for someone laid back and honest, just looking to meet people and enjoy life. Conversation is the most important thing!

You can help me find fun and interesting things to do in London.

Or if you also found filling this thing out painfully reminiscent of job applications...
