My self-summary
Sometimes I stay up all night.

"We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing."
- Charles Bukowski

I don't really read that much Bukowski, but the sentiment echoes with me.

I'm still not sure what I am doing here, so I figured if I keep it short and cryptic I'll probably seem deep and interesting. Aren't you intrigued by the mystery?
What I’m doing with my life
Dreaming away. Really, but I suppose dreams are one of those things that are really mostly fascinating to the person who is having them. Look, I'm still working on this one.
I’m really good at
Procrastinating.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I have...long hair? Still waiting for that hair swishing shampoo commercial job.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs. It's a trip. I really like William Gibsons stuff, both his old stuff and his new. I don't know, there's something about his dystopian sci-fi cyberpunk world that always manages to be near future somehow. The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. An old classic I suppose. I have a ton of books in my book shelf that I should read, but somehow I don't find the time to just sit down with a book as much as I used to.

Movies? Here's a bunch I like: Stalker, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Mullholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Inception, The Limits of Control, Reservoir Dogs, Fear And Loathing in las vegas, Shaun of the dead, Primer, Trainspotting, Snatch, Naked Lunch, Day Watch, Night Watch, Good Will Hunting
because I am the kinda arty but still pretty mainstream vaguely cool guy of the early 2000's. I'll watch new stuff with you (and maybe I'll try to update this list at some point) I promise. I do like movies.

Music: Elliott Smith, Television, John Maus, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pixies, The Make-Up, Radiohead, Melt-banana, Dangerdoom, the Magnetic fields, Suicide, Jens Lekman. lately I have been falling back into my metal roots somewhat. Quite a bit of Pentagram and Saint Vitus

Shows: Firefly. I occasionally go on Star Trek TNG and DS9 binges. Yes, I do watch Game of Thrones like everyone else. I really, really, really liked Stranger Things. I like Ricky and Morty. Look, as a rule, I am always like at least a year behind the rest of the world when it comes to discovering new shows I like.
Six things I could never do without
Tobacco, a little poison and a small pleasure. I don't really smoke anymore, but without my snus (look it up, it's a Swedish thing) I would be unable to function.

The Internet, although I suppose what I mean is an internet connection. The internet itself, presumeably, goes on even when I am not there.

Human contact. Not that I am an extreme extrovert or anything it's more that I am reminded of it when I just stay on my own for too long. I'm just human I suppose.

A bathtub. For some reason virtually every place I have lived has had a bathtub. Although I do enjoy a bath I am starting to suspect I use it as an excuse to just hang out in my bath robe forever too.

A guitar. I don't play all the time and my guitar skills are still pretty basic even after all these years, but to not have the option would feel terrible.

My future cat. I mean, I guess. I am just expanding this 1-6 list with something more. To make this profile less sparse. I used to have a cat and cats are nice. I should get a cat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The unbearable long now and how years fly. Also love, politics and the internet. And by that I mean memes. I share a lot of memes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Writing long posts on the internet. Or maybe I am getting drunk with friends. Or watching a movie. But the first one, let's be honest here, would probably be the more typical one.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck.
You should message me if
You've made it this far. I'm here, you're here. Pick your adventure.
In truth I am on Okcupid a bit infrequently these days so this is me apologizing in advance if I take a while to respond.
