I've edited websites for a living, and now I'm an adjunct professor and freelance writer. I was a martial artist, and had a few nasty injuries to my shoulder and right hand, and now that I'm better, I'm trying to get back into it. I've mostly studied Wing Chun, Longfist, some weapons, and a bit of Judo and Boxing, and no matter what you study, I think it's awesome that you study! I'm also a wannabe novelist taking on his first big project. I live an eclectic, busy, and entertaining life.
I am a total geek, and it needs saying, and I do enjoy many hobbies such as: D&D/Pathfinder, video games, LARPing, anime, and related conventions. This can be either a major part of hanging out with me, or a non-existent part, up to your feelings on the matter.
I have a problem though: I'm not dating anyone these days. It's boring. Time to go out and have adventures in online dating again.
It's not a proper week if I'm not the cause of shenanigans.
2: Reading at graduate speed (a strange, hybrid pace,) and writing fiction.
3: Listening. You'd be surprised at how few people actually listen to each other nowadays.
4: I can cook like nobody's business. Got any good recipes I can try?
5: Incredibly geeky things. Full stop.
I've got a father from Philly, a mother from Louisiana, and I defeated a stuttering problem when I was a squirt. The combination has made my voice fairly distinctive. It's kind of cool, actually. People say I'd be great as a voice actor.
Also: I love so many movies, books, and TV shows that it wouldn't fit on this section without taking up two pages, so this is just my attempt at a short short-list.

Video Games (This deserves a category): X-Com Enemy Unknown, Live-A-Live, FTL, Mega Man 2, Deus Ex, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Etrian Odyssey III.
Food: It is easier to list exceptions to the food I like. I haven't had much in the way of Indian cuisine that suits me, and I have a significant number of impolite phrases regarding the iniquity of cooked spinach.
I read wonderful stories on this website. How many more will I hear in person? And how many will I never meet the writer of? How many infinite possibilities exist with every message, until such time as the words are deleted and the profile is erased? And why does this site make me feel poetic about that which is not to be?
And what will do when I finish my novel?
Sidenote: finding typos on my profile, as a composition instructor, makes me want to commit sepukku with a keyboard.
I'm pretty geeky, so it would be great to date a fellow geek.
I take my training seriously, and it would be fun to date a fellow martial artist.
Also: if you're assertive and confident, stop on by! It's attractive as hell.
