My self-summary
Wow, re-writing this thing so I don't sound quite so pathetic. I moved up to Manchester around a year ago after living in Brighton for the previous 5 years; a place that I love, and shared some great times with, but I left as mess with a broken heart. In the year since then, I've sorted myself out, become more confident and happy in myself as a person and now really just want someone to hang out and have fun with. I'm not really looking for anything too serious, but I'm open to it if that were to happen, as I'm a big softie and that would be rad obviously (yes, I'm bringing "rad" back in everyday conversation).

I love science and media, spend a lot of my time reading and learning; staying informed about current events (as well as filling my mind with semi-useless information.. I'm really good in a pub quiz!)-- I've basically just been on a mission of self improvement over the last year, and happier for it. I also like to keep fit by going to the gym a few times a week.. I'm not one of those meat-head top heavy steroid types though (I'm all about cardio).

As far as fun stuff; I love films, and will get involved even if its a terrible b-movie (I recently acquired every Godzilla film from the last 50 years!) I'm always looking for awesome new tv shows & cartoons. I really enjoy live music, and stand-up, but need to get out and go to more gigs! I play video games, but not like all the time-- I'm more just fascinated with video games culture and the nostalgia that I have associated with it. I don't watch normal TV and so know nothing of celebrity culture or reality tv o_0

I draw and make animated shorts in my spare time; it's nice to have an outlet for a vivid imagination :p

Oh, and I'm also a pretty decent cook (I used to work as a chef "back in the day")
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to live in the now instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future (basically avoiding having an existential crisis). Also, working in an office doing officey things (living the dream right??).
I’m really good at
I'm really good at making people happy and helping others out, I love debating religion and politics, geeking out about awesome tv/films/cartoons/video games/technology, I also love to cook (to a professional standard) and I'm a pretty good swimmer too..
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty well spoken (Northerners seem to notice this a lot more!) I'm physically in good shape and I'm extremely difficult to piss off. Also a giant geek (not a poser geek, like a proper one)

Six things I could never do without
My Friends
My Computer
Good Food
Internet <3
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Universe, The meaning of life, if insects rule the world after we inevitably destroy ourselves; will they find our remains and think that we were ancient civilization of deity/giants..?, also food
On a typical Friday night I am
It really depends; right now it's a Friday night and I'm sat at my computer updating my online dating profile whilst watching TED talks and learning about space.. But this is because I went to 2 festivals last month and am now poor. Ideally I would like to be out drinking with friends in a bar that I can have a conversation with someone in, then depending on levels of intoxication possibly end up in a terrible nightclub of some description where I would inevitably "bust some shapes" and possibly end up chatting to a randomer in the smoking area about science/religion/politics/insect people, before inviting everyone back to mine due to its convenient location.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I pretty much grew up in a nursing home surrounded by old people.. :|
You should message me if
You like slightly odd (but confident) geeky guys who apparently ramble about nonsense and insect people on their online dating profiles..?? Also; you know, if we have stuff in common and/or you find me attractive (ideally there would be a photo of my pointing and winking in the creepiest way possible here.. Possibly like this: http://tinyurl.com/8333kq5).
