My self-summary
I love listening to people talk about the things they find interesting.

I try very hard to be non-judgmental, honest, and kind.

Pretty hardcore Anti-oppressive, third wave feminist politics
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to figure out what the best way to use my talents to help people is...After becoming disenchanted with my Master's of Social Work program, I've been working at a Community Center looking after kids and teaching English via Skype to pay the bills.
I’m really good at
Being Supportive
Over-analyzing things
Being a huge nerd
The first things people usually notice about me
I talk a lot. And I have a strange laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Word for World is Forest (and other classic scifi with a social science sensibility), The Velveteen Rabbit (and other works of philosophy masquerading as Children's Literature), the occasional Great Book (East of Eden leaps to mind), and lots of comics (Mostly Vertigo, Oni press--things like that)
Fargo, 5 Centimeters per Second, All the Ghibli movies, Pacific Rim, Groundhog Day, Tokyo Godfathers, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Gilmore Girls, Game of Thrones, Switched at Birth, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Please Like Me
Great Big Sea, Les Cowboys Fringants, and pretty much anything folky...I tend to let the people around me pick the music.
--Video Games--
Hearthstone, Dark Souls, Life is Strange, The Walking Dead, Skyrim, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Stardew Valley, Civilization
All the food.
Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about

Seriously, though, I spend a lot of time in my head. Favourite thinking topics include culture, language, power and violence, rocks, how to imagine other people complexly, grammar, cooking, and old friends
On a typical Friday night I am
Either watching guilty pleasure shows on netflix or playing video games, depending on what kind of a week it's been. Saturday night is my going out to have a beer with friends night, Sunday nights I generally have dinner with family. I'm a creature of ritual.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Something no-one ever believes about me, but I'm a pretty anxious person. It's never stopped me from being outgoing and friendly, but I have a lot of sympathy for people who are shy.
You should message me if
