There was once an introduction here, but it went 404. If you ever need to reach me for some reason, just collect the seven dragon balls.
I have an insatiable curiosity. I think a day gone by without improving myself in some way or learning new things is usually a day wasted.
Thus, I'm really good at a great many things.
I read a few dozen books every year. I have a Goodreads account. Once we establish that you are not a stalker, or a robot from the future, I'll give you a link. I mainly read nonfiction. Last few years I'm most interested in human cognition. One of my recent favourites is Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Read it, if you want to impress me.
I'm not giving away my favourite movies. THEY ARE MINE! Hands off.
I don't watch too many movies, as I dislike the 2hour format, so those few I like and watched I'd rather reserve for those netflix and chill dates.
I probably watched all the shows in the world. Seen too many good ones to list. I'm going with Natsume Yuujinchou and Mushishi here, because I adore these the most, and they move me the most.
I am an audiophile, and I was one before it was cool. My music library is about 300 days long and sports tens of thousands of artists. I listen to hours of music each day. All sorts. You probably never heard of most of them. Once I start sending tracks I need to invest all the willpower in the world to stop spamming an infinite number of songs.
I'll leave one here as it was playing in the background when writing this:
Everything that fits into a pizza box. Anything you can cut with a pizza cutter. Stuff that the pizza guy delivers. Well, basically, pizza.
-Science: Feynman & Sagan are my homeboys. You should message me if you want to talk about the dragon in your garage, or cargo cult science, or about the beauty of a flower.
-Cognition / Human Cognition / Metacognition: Do you know phrases like sunk cost fallacy, consensus effect, decoy effect, false memories, or DELAYED GRATIFICATION? WHOO! Is it hot in here, or what?
-Epistemology: How do I epistemology? Good question. Let's find out.
My favourite book ever is Campbell - Biology. A ~2000 pages large tome. True story.
The idea of double blind clinical studies is medicine for my soul.
We don't need no. Or do we? And in what form?
I'm allergic to woo, superstition, pseudoscience, and a long list of things. But I'm also equally fascinated by them.
Yes please. And a lot.
-Psychology: The woo-woo kind. I'm looking at you MBTI-loving people on OKC!
-Psychology: The one grounded in credible research and evidence.
You don't drink alcohol, you don't smoke, you don't use drugs.
After examining a hundred or so profiles, I arrived to the conclusion that the OKCupid matchmaking algorithm is completely retarded. I get 99% matches with people I don't share a single common attribute or interest. So feel free to message me even if the OKC Robot Overlords don't think we are a good match.
