My self-summary
Friends would describe me as fun, dependable, witty, hard working, tough, and funny with a dry sense of humor. I have a strong sense of self, and am easy going about most things, but quite impassioned about others.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and have lived in Asia for four years, including two years in a yurt in Mongolia while in the Peace Corps.

I'm smart, funny, and a mensch.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working for the man while pursuing creative stuff on the side, and grateful to finally be in New York.
I’m really good at
Far too many things -- especially listening, laughing, and making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
Whatever hat I'm usually wearing, my blue eyes, and my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've only been in NYC a year, so I don't have favorite food places yet. Love the Indian here though.

I love all music, especially indie rock and The Pixies. I don't watch much TV, except for 30 Rock, The Office, and South Park.

I watch a lot of movies, and recent favorites included Synecdoche NY, Moon, The White Ribbon, The Cove, Dogtooth, Tuesday After Christmas, and The Tree of Life.

I read a lot a book or two a week, and prefer heavier stuff: Ian McEwan, Christopher Hitchens, Cormac McCarthy, Kazuo Ishiguro, Salman Rushdie, Michael Ondaatje, and Michel Houellebecq. I read the Chron, the Guardian, and the NY Times online, and still laugh out loud reading The Onion.
Six things I could never do without
Good food, great friends, conversation, music, literature, and coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely watching a movie, play, or band, and unwinding with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You should message me if
You have a lust for life and are some combination of kind, confident, adventurous, intelligent, and amorous.
Bonus points for non-natives.
