My self-summary
Who am I? From Chicago, educated in Boston (where I learned to be a Mass-hole. LOL) First teaching job - Middle of nowhere on Navajo Rez (where I humbled myself and learned about how this ancient way of life exists in the 20th century). I'm a creative/ out-of-the-box thinker: Around fellow teachers at work, I come off left of center; with my artsy friends, I come off conservative; and with my daughter I let her be the creative one. I've been told that I am cynical, arrogant, and snarky, with a raw sense of humor that will have you falling over laughing. But at the same time, my years of studying Buddhism and philosophy, makes me a deep thinker, who's not too savvy with small talk.

Aside from being a bit old-fashioned, things that make me smile are good craft beer, making pizza on the grill, growing vegetables in the garden, and playing cards.

My 9 year old daughter is the priority in my life. Anyone with kids understands, and why scheduling/dating over my time with her would be a rare occurrence. She has been my 'assistant' when I've changed my brakes, and when I built her a playhouse (hitting the same thumb twice with a hammer LOL). In return, I've been invited to her living room performances of plays and dance shows.

Who I'm looking for is someone that enjoys going to the symphony as much Red Rocks. Someone who enjoys going to a Rockies game as much as the Denver Art Museum. Someone who I can cook for, but will not expect me to wait on her hand and foot. And of course someone who will listen to stories about my daughter.

In the movie "Gran Torino" there's a line that I believe can happen for me. "I got the best woman who was ever on this planet to marry me. I worked at it. It was the best thing that ever happened to me, hands down." I do believe she is out there... the one who I'll let my daughter meet, the one I want to see when I rise, and the one who I'll say is the best woman on this planet.

... you have something to say; even if it is Hi. If you Visit me, and don't write, I'll assume you're not interested.

It may sound funny, but I hope to find someone who has faults, and is not looking to match on all levels or meet her soul partner. Nobody is perfect; but at this stage in life, we can be real and honest.
