My self-summary
How to sum myself up in a tiny text box? I'll give it a shot. I've been out of college for about a year, but I'm hoping to start law school soon. I'm a very motivated and goal-oriented person. I do really enjoy meeting new people, but I can be the quiet type sometimes. I'm usually very introspective and I think I spend more time thinking than doing things, but that's something that I'm trying to change. I like being active and I love to travel. If I could get paid to be on the road all the time seeing new things and meeting new people I would love every minute of it.
What I’m doing with my life
I guess this would've been a better box to put the college stuff in... Well, I have two college degrees so far (an AA in Liberal Arts and a BA in Political Science, both with Honors) and I'm planning to start law school in the Fall of 2013. I'd like to find a type of law to practice, but I have other goals that would require a JD degree. I'm also considering the option of becoming a JAG Officer in the military once I finish law school, but nothing is set in stone.
I’m really good at
Writing. I love to write, so far as a hobby but it would be cool to be paid for it one day. I've been really inspired by comedy writers like Judd Apatow and how he was able to make a career for himself by using his unique take on every day life to write funny and entertaining scripts.

I'm also really good with kids. I've worked around them for a while and I've enjoyed it a lot. I have my teaching certification here in Florida, but haven't had the chance to use it as a full time job yet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a big Boston Red Sox tattoo on my right calf.

I'm probably the most "mellow" or laid back person that you'll ever meet. I rarely get noticeably upset (sad or mad) about anything and even if I did it's usually not easy to tell.

I have a great sense of humor. I spend a good amount of my time trying to use it to make people around me more comfortable and to just keep the mood positive. I don't like the idea of being unhappy all the time so I make an effort to keep things light when I can.

I'm a pretty smart guy and that can show sometimes, but I'm definitely not in your face about it. I don't go around correcting the grammar of everyone around me.

I'm also pretty nerdy with my interests sometimes. I love sports, but I equally like technology and the like.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to watch comedians. I can be pretty picky about them though. I enjoy them all though.

I'll read just about anything (except for the whole Twilight business). I like to read military books like American Sniper and No Easy Day. I like history and autobiographies too sometimes. Although my hands down favorite book series has been George R.R. Martin's series (A Song of Ice and Fire) and it pretty much has taken over m free time ever since I started it.

I love all movies, although I don't have any idea what's going on in some modern independent films but I try to make it through.

I listen to all kinds of music, my iPod is a mess. It's all over the place really. It goes from Bon Iver, City and Colour to the Blues Brothers, Ray Charles to Jack White ...there's even some Tupac and Biggie in there.

As for food, I'll try anything once. I'm not big on sushi and I could definitely NOT survive on a vegan diet. I like meat.

TV Shows... I'm pretty much addicted to all things travel-related like No Reservations, Bizarre Foods, House Hunters International and the list goes on... But I also like shows like NCIS, Criminal Minds, and The Walking Dead. Also, I'm addicted to Game of Thrones and watch every episode regularly.
The six things I could never do without
My phone (to stay connected), my family (even though we might not all get along all the time), my friends (they're my support system), some type of pet, something to write with or my digital recorder, the ability to travel (anywhere really, but I love Europe or Asia)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future and the kind of life that I would like to have. I don't want to spend my entire life thinking about work, because no one really knows when this life is going to end. I just want to experience as much as I can.
On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly, I'm probably at home watching a movie or out having drinks with friends. I've never been much of a "party guy" and you'll never see me doing a keg stand in the parking lot of a football stadium.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm usually really torn about the life that I have.

On one hand, I'm very happy with what I've accomplished so far and I like having career-minded, ambitious goals like law school and becoming a lawyer. I want to be stable and not live from paycheck to paycheck.

However, I really envy the people that spend this time of their lives taking semesters abroad in places all around the world. Or those people that can just up and leave everything and drive out to California or some place and just see what happens.
You should message me if
You want to. Like I said before, I enjoy talking to just about anyone and about anything. So, by all means, send me a message and we can get to know each other.
