My self-summary
Just to get this out there: I'm feminist, liberal, LGBTQ-friendly and stand for reproductive rights, gender and racial equality, consent, environmentalism, freedom of speech and religion, and alternative lifestyles. If you agree with all these things, we're going to get along great!

I am a swordsman and a poet.

I'm an adventurer. Learning new skills, languages and talents, meeting new people, diving into hobbies, finding all the hidden nooks and crannies and interesting things to do and see and feel and share. There are few problems a confident smile, a laid back attitude and some genuine interest can't fix.

I'm also a gigantic nerd.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a web designer, slam poet, classically trained swordsman and world-builder. I explore Austin, try out new hobbies, read, meet people and talk a lot. I enjoy traveling, although I don't get to do it nearly as much as I'd like. I also enjoy the occasional hookah, board games and movies with friends, and sometimes hiking and climbing things.
I’m really good at
Figuring out logic puzzles. Learning languages. Certain kinds of programming. Building whole fictional worlds in conversation. Talking to strangers.

I will make you cry at Scrabble, I can whistle like nobody's business, I can sing all the words to Dr. Horrible and Commentary! The Musical, and I am a highly rated DM.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height, my blue eyes, and my fast and friendly smile. That, and a laugh that carries.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Ender's Game, Zombie Survival Guide, Game of Thrones and Discworld for books

Fifth Element, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Airplane!, Demolition Man, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Life of Brian for movies

Dexter, Gargoyles, Sherlock, House, Game of Thrones, Venture Brothers and Robot Chicken for shows

The Killers, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, OK Go, Ratatat, Anamanaguchi, Explosions in the Sky, Django Reinhardt, Mumford and Sons, and Rufus Wainwright for music

Hopdoddies, Pho Thaison, Taquieria Arandinas and Thai Kitchen for food
Six things I could never do without
Friends, family, love and air aside:

The Internet, for providing boundless entertainment and neat things to do

Dr. Pepper, without which I'd never be able to fully appreciate a breakfast taco

Hookah, a marvelous habit I could never completely abandon (although I mostly e-cig nowadays)

My phone, the lifeline to friends, outings and entertainment

My pocket knife, because it comes in handy more often than you'd think

My kindle, because any time spent reading is time well spent
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Alternative realities, super powers, zombies, engineering, gaming, programming, design, sleep, and sex.
On a typical Friday night I am
Smoking hookah at a friend's house, watching a movie and sharing life, going downtown to dance and drink, seeing some friends perform, enjoying a party or small get-together, or staying in and watching TV and surfing Reddit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Despite being 6'2" and coming from an athletic family, I am absolutely terrible at basketball.
You should message me if
Our hobbies or interests align, you find me attractive, you wish to get to know me better or on a whim - why wouldn't you, I'm awesome.

Honestly as a guy on a dating site I'm expecting to get messaged first by someone exactly never, and I accept that. But if you've read this far and want to be that exception and blow my mind, I'll be both surprised and impressed.
