My self-summary
I never know how to fill these out. It's a cover letter for a partner and I'm terrible at cover letters for jobs.

I'm currently a substitute teacher and that keeps the bills from engulfing me; but I'm a storyteller at heart, whether illustration, prose or screenwriting, it's an outlet for emotion and a great way to exorcise any questions I don't have answers to.
It's probably obvious by this point that I'm a huge nerd, I try to wear that on my sleeve, but I'm also very outgoing and am usually up for a good party. I'm very into movies, comics and books with a broad sense of humor which can range from dry, caustic, silly to VERY dark. If you're easily offended I'm more than likely to upset you at some point as I'll say anything if I find it funny and it's only when the laughing stops that I see who's glowering.
Travel is important to me, getting out of the city for a week every few months to go somewhere that I've never been or to see friends resets me. I'm European about vacations and their effect on people and subbing allows me ample vacation time.
That's really about it, not much of a concluding paragraph I know, but ask me if there's anything I left out.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently substitute teaching and figuring out if it's what I want to do as a career. I like 'teaching' even as a sub and when doing long-term assignments I get to be a real one for a few weeks at a time. I would love it if my art could pay the bills but until that time, this does and it's okay money for a 30-something with no kids who likes to travel.
I’m really good at
Drawing, writing, making people laugh, and sword fighting. One of those is a's not the one you think.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told for a big guy it's striking to hear me be so soft spoken. Not Guy-from-The Blind Side-soft, just not what people expected. But I can get really loud when excitedly discussing something.

A book, reading is fun...damental!

Good conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Honestly anything at any time. In my quiet time I'm usually thinking of stories or what to draw. If I read an article it can spark a stream of ideas on politics or society, I can spend an exorbitant amount of time grousing and lamenting on both, so I tend to not dwell on those when I could devote time to creative endeavors.
And ok, I'll admit, I have discussed with friends the protocol for exodus following the zombie apocalypse.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely with friends, not a fan of bars but if dragged I make the most of it, I prefer the movies, the beach or turning up on the couch with friends. It's a rare Friday that I'll be at home, usually only if I'm working on a project or plans A-D fall through.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I owned Hanson's Middle of Nowhere on cassette and to this day I maintain, it's not a bad album, in fact for musicians that young it was pretty good.
You should message me if
You're funny, artistic, outgoing, open-minded and are good at conversation.
