My self-summary
I'm told I'm a very loyal friend, honest, dependable, open, and I am always true to my principles.

I often find myself admiring, laughing or smiling about the little ironies and details in the world and I'm constantly stopping to smell flowers.

I'm well travelled, educated, open minded, try to live healthy exercising and eating well, love a good adventure and almost never turn down a chance to be active, have fun, or learn.

I'm looking for someone awesome to adventure with and to share.... well, stuff I guess. I've learned not to put a lot of expectations on things though because they get in the way of what's there.
What I’m doing with my life
Edjamacating myself one read at a time.

looking for dare to be great moments!

trying to find my place in the world and learning to live with fewer boundries.
I’m really good at
I am great with helping people, passing on smiles, making people forget about bad things, turning perspectives around.... that sort of thing.

Hugging.... I give excellent big hugs

I'm a pretty good cook, handy on a trivia team, have a 98 win % on freecell, and I can whistle and hum at the same time without stopping (I can do it inhaling and exhaling). I know, you're in awe, right?
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess the whole shaved head thing tends to stand out when you're 6'2. I also love being social so I'm usually smiley, friendly, and a bit on the corny/witty side.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading history, philosophy, science, and the occasional fiction too. My favorite book is "the way of the peaceful warrior." It was that book that found me at the perfect time in my life.

TV: big bang theory, how I met your mother, grimm, suits, californication, burn notice, weeds, wonderfalls, game of thrones, stargate, orange is the new black, Dr. Who, the walking dead, Supernatural, house of cards, news room, da foosball or occasional sports game. I don't like watching tv just to do something though. Usually I just DVR stuff and watch when I get some free time. In truth, I'd be happiest if I always had a reason to NOT watch tv.

I LOVE movies. They seem to free me from my own thoughts, especially if it's a good comedy, drama, or movie that involves a real story or personal growth.

Food is maybe my one great weakness.... besides all the others. I LOVE food. Chances are if it's good I've eaten it and probably tried to cook it, but I frequent Mexican, Greek, Indian, Chinese, Italian, and Japanese most often.
The six things I could never do without
I often find myself wondering, "do I really need/want this in my life?" And, I try to to chop off the excess and learn about myself and my boundries along the way. But, for the purpose of an answer: long hot showers, free time to exercise or be with friends, wind (my favorite weather), something new to learn and bury my mind in and converse with people about, healthy food that tastes awesome and makes me feel good, meaningful life goals to pursue, and good people in my life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- science.... What? It's my job and hobby (I have a PhD in chemistry). I love learning and pondering new things.

- What I want to do in my "spare" time and what I'm going to learn about next.

-Where/how I can meet someone who will turn my life upside down and make me wonder how I ever got along without her.
On a typical Friday night I am
visiting friends, playing soccer, riding my motorcycle, boating on a lake or river, reading, netflix, hanging out, and just general fun. I find good things happen when I say "yes" and participate.

I'll go out to bars occasionally, but I hate smoke. I also had my times of drunken debauchery in college, but it's not for me anymore. It doesn't bother me when other people do, I just don't need it to have fun. I can be plenty stupid and fun without the alcohol, plus who doesn't love a designated driver.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing in the shower sometimes..... naked and all. And, I've also been known to sing along with my mp3 player regardless of how I sound... even in elevators. When journey comes on you have to go with it!

Aren't a reality tv freak
