I love to travel, a habit I picked up off my parents. Currently 15 countries and 3 continents in, with plenty more on the list. For me, travelling is about enjoying the culture, the food and visiting significant and historical places. I almost became an architect, so I do love me some temples!
It seems I'm a dragon and a Gemini, so am I dragon twins or a polycephalic dragon? I guess if you are going to be a zodiac sign, you might as well be not one, but two cool, mythical beasts!
If you wanted to, you could link me, being Gemini, with the fact that a lot of people only see the chatty social me on the outside, without really having any idea of who I am underneath.
A temper isn't really something I have, never really seen the point of raised voices and heated conversations. Just think there are better ways to deal with things in life. I am not without passion or enthusiasm, they are there, but I don't need their existence to be mirrored by anger, hate and ignorance.
I don't do drugs, smoke or get drunk. Always rather liked my mind how it is. Happily have fun with friends who do get drunk, but it isn't for me. For some reason I always get the line: I didn't know you drank that! (I guess my tastes in alcoholic beverages is quite random.)
After a somewhat spur of the moment trip to Vegas to meet a friend who was in Japan at the time, I have gained a love for Cirque du Soleil. I am currently 3 resident and 10 touring shows in, most of which were at the Albert Hall. Makes for a good excuse to visit countries and different theatres around the UK. If you only see one show in Vegas see KÀ, it is in a league of its own.
Baggage free, drama free, responsibility free, 100% single man, loving life and wanting to share it.
I am happy, diverse, and a rock.
It seems I only do long term relationships, all of them can be measured in years as can the gaps in between them. Still good friends with all of them and honoured to have shared a part of my life with them.
Worked on Enterprise management systems for one of the largest translation companies in the world for 8 years and have now got back to where I started off, doing the front and back-ends of a diverse array of sites. I love the creativity and beauty of it all and how the medium is constantly evolving.
Am currently learning to cook properly and get fit once more. Both are proving to be very satisfying.
Being happy, seeing the good in others and generally never getting bored.
Being trustworthy. It is a bit hard to explain, but many friends confide in me and I cherish that fact and responsibility.
That said, I don't think my external self really reflects what goes on in my head.
Cirque Du Soleil, Architecture of the ancient world, Photography, Drawing. I also quite enjoy musicals.
DJ Infiniti, Bobby Valentino, Johnny Clegg & Savuka, Jesse Cook, Andreas Vollenweider, Suzanne Ciani, Disturbed, Metallica, Joe Hisaishi, DJ Hyper, Orbital, Beatles, ABBA
Aliens, Baraka, Late Night Shopping, A Mighty Wind, Laputa, Garden State, Preaching to the Perverted, Wall-E, The Fall, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Brothers Bloom, To Live, Lost in Translation, Star Dust, Beowulf 3D, Before Sunrise, Waiting..., Harvey, Screwball Hotel, After Hours, Tale of Two Sisters.
Like most things, ranging from the seriously expensive, to a dirty, late night kebab. Never managed to get into puddings though, so for the lover of after dinner sweets, you gonna be disappointed.
One of the most gutting things about returning to the UK after being abroad is the fact that the UK is not an eating out food culture.
Twin Peaks, Nothern Exposure, QI, Babylon 5, Mysterious Cities of Gold, Murder She Wrote, Myth Busters, Sex and the City, Scrubs, Sledge Hammer, Futurama, Spaced, Buffy & Angel, Castle, NCIS, Coupling, Lee & Herrings Fist of Fun, Blackadder, Jeeves & Wooster, Friday the 13th (Yep, there was a TV series, which had nothing to do with the movies).
Basically, I love TV series with an on going storyline, strong story arc and no laughter track.
Net Connection. (It solves many an argument!)
A good bed to dream in.
A loving family as my foundation.
Nature/Nurture and how much of it all is just how we are wired.
Why most of the food/drink/toiletries I like seem to go out of production the moment I start to like them.
Why they don't sell Nilla Wafers in the UK :'(
I answered all my questions on here before the public/private feature came along and I can't be bothered to click each one to make them public. Neither have I got around to answering any more questions.
I probably have a more expansive definition of what open minded means.
Life is fun and I want someone fun to share it with!
(Knowing what FL is is a bonus.)
