My self-summary
If you're familiar with MBTI, I'm an ISFJ. I'm easily contented. It doesn't take a whole lot to make me happy. The other day, I was walking to work when a little sparrow landed on the sidewalk right next to me and started hopping around showing apparently no fear. I just had to stop and watch the little guy until he flew away. Put a huge smile on my face and made me chuckle. Totally made my day. Besides silly stuff like that, my happiness comes more from making other people happy. I guess that's the ISFJ in me. I enjoy anticipating the needs of those I love and am told I'm pretty good at it...most of the time anyway. Hey nobody's perfect.
What I’m doing with my life
I crush dreams for a living. At least that's what I tell people to sound more impressive. Ok I'm really a Patent Examiner. See? Doesn't it sound better the other way? I'm also an Air Force veteran and currently an officer in the Air National Guard. You know what that means don't you? Free Subway subs on Veterans Day! Aw yeah!
I’m really good at
I make a mean creme brûlée. I do a pretty good Vito Corleone impression. I like to sing and am sort of ok at it. My singing idol? The late great (and fellow Indian) Freddie Mercury.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm easy to talk to and confide in...probably because I like to go out of my way to make sure people are comfortable around me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As far as books go, I'd have to say my favorite is The Lord of The Rings. I also loved the Harry Potter series, Sherlock Holmes series, A Song of Ice and Fire (though personally I think it kind of dropped off after book 3) and of course the Horatio Hornblower series.

My favorite movie is The Godfather. Recently most of my movie watching has consisted of Korean thrillers on Netflix. Amazing!

As far as TV, I don't watch a whole lot these days. Currently I'm keeping up with Downton Abbey and Sherlock. And I'm looking forward to the new season of Game of Thrones.

I love edgy comedy. I listen to the Opie and Anthony show almost every day. Don't judge me! Those guys can make my stomach hurt from laughing several times each day. I'm also a big fan of Louis CK, Patrice O'Neal, Amy Schumer, Bonnie McFarlane, Jim Norton, Bill Burr, Chelsea Peretti, and many others. I also think that Ron Bennington is the wittiest person who has ever lived.

Naturally my favorite band is Queen. But I also love The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Dr. Dre, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Beethoven, Bach, the list goes on. Oh, speaking of which, I once rapped Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's "Resurrection" to a room full of Air Force Lieutenants. Nailed it! Well that's my story anyway.

As for food, I guess my favorite is Indian especially my mom's home cooking. But I pretty much like everything--Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, Mexican, you name it. Speaking of which, I'm currently attending culinary school at the International Culinary Center in Manhattan--just for fun.
Six things I could never do without
Family, car, phone, laptop, TV, P90X3
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've talked my way out of 14 consecutive speeding tickets (all of which I deserved).
You should message me if
You have the usual qualities that people look for--warm, kind, compassionate, sense of humor, intelligent, etc. I could try to be more specific but you know, I remember reading a quote once, and I wish I could remember it word for word, but the gist was that we spend so much time making rules for the kind of person we want to fall in love with but almost always, that person ends up being the exception to the rules. But if it means anything, I used to think of Claire Huxtable as my ideal kind of woman. Hey don't laugh! Alright, laugh if you must.
