My self-summary
I love to discover things. When I was a kid, if I saw something in a store window that fascinated me, I would stop whatever it was I was doing and go into that store to see more. When I would go hiking on a camping trail, I would inevitably deviate from said trail to explore other paths, or make my own. I love to travel, but don't do as much as I would like to... yet! I have so many things I still want to do in this life... which means I'll never get bored and never "settle down" the old fashioned way. I love Art! A lot! My Parents were both Artists so how could I not!?! I dig going to galleries. I have a passion for Theater, Movies, Photography, Music, Dance, Concerts - Lots! I'm an excellent cook, though I don't do it as much as I would like to.

I am dis!, dat!, and the other ting!
What I’m doing with my life
Pursuing my career, getting back into photography, working out and cooking as much as I can (not at the same time), working on my Christopher Walken impression, vacuuming, painting my bedroom furniture, looking for the ultimate 24 hour diner, running around with a pack of Hounds, writing, preparing for the coming thing... it's big, whatever it is. New Passport photo.
I’m really good at
Impressions of people. Cooking. Staying up late. Napping, though I don't nap nearly enough. Being pro-active. Thinking on my feet. Being spontaneous. Photography. Taking care of my various Hounds. Gaining access to things that others can't. Not giving up. Leading when necessary. Finishing Marathons (3 and counting). Playing devils advocate. MacGiver...ing (falls under 'thinking on my feet), not MacGrubering (as I try not to blow things up too much!). Working with my hands. Eating slices of pizza. Being ridiculous.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes and my strong cheek bones. My sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hmmm... I can't list everything as the list would just be too big, so I'll just do a wide swath of things:

Favorite movies: (in no particular order) Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Vertigo, Rear Window, Strangers on a Train, North by North-West (yes, you guessed it, I love Hitchcock films!), Citizen Kane, All About Eve, Red River, The Seventh Samurai, The Bicycle Thief, Planet of the Apes (the original), Day The Earth Stood Still (the original, not the sucky one with Keanu - yeesh!), Alien, Aliens, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Lord of the Rings trilogy, 8 1/2, 7th Samurai, The 6th Sense, Seconds, Andromeda Strain, Batman (Dark Knight trilogy), Casablanca, Star Wars Trilogy (4,5,6), One Eyed Jacks, On The Waterfront, The Godfather (parts I & II), The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Hurt Locker, Maltese Falcon, Pretty much any B&W Noir film from the 30's - 50's. (much more)

TV Shows (even though OkC didn't ask) in no particular order; Archer, The Killing, The Walking Dead, Justified, Tosh.O, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Burn Notice, Twilight Zone (org. of course!), Falling Skies, The Wire, Dexter, Deadwood, Get Smart, The Shield, lots of things on the PBS, The History Ch, Animal Planet, Yard Crashers, House Crashers, Law and Order; SVU, Law and Order, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Saturday Night Live, Prisoner (60's series - I'd be truly impressed if you've seen it)

Ok, favorite foods; Thai, Chinese, Italian, Sushi, Just about anything BBQ'd, Sea Food, Pizza, Micro Beer, Indian, Lebanese, Burgers and Fries, Root Beer Floats, Hot Dogs.

Music: (groups too numerous to name) Alternative, (serious KCRW lover), Jazz, Classical, Electronic, Classic Rock, new Rock, Movie Soundtracks. Ok, just a few groups to mention in no particular order: Radiohead, U2, Coldplay, Zero 7... yikes, I'd better stop now. Just know there are lots more!

Books; Random House Dictionary, The Alchemist, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Shinning, works of Jack Kerouac, 1984, The Pool of Fire: The Tripods Trilogy. (much more)
Six things I could never do without
To hell with 6! My Mac, Thai food... Ok, food!, staying up late, BBQing, Friendos, Dogs, Traveling, Monkey business, skating on thin ice, sleeping, NPR, Jon Stewart, Jedi mind tricking, my right to be ridiculous! My neurotic Incredible non-edible Droid! Law and Order, SVU, Working out, breaking the rules when they need to be broken!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The allusive attainment of balance and harmony. Traveling to exotic lands. (I've done some, want to do a lot more!). My Dad getting better and coming home, being as green as possible, squeezing in as much out of life as possible. Bionics, as I want to be Better, Stronger, Faster, how to adapt, improvise, and overcome!
On a typical Friday night I am
Seeing things, researching things, looking at things, playing with things, eating things, petting things, wanting things, purchasing things, taking things back, writing things, seeking things, working things, reading things, and things in general... Things! The point is I never have a typical night. But sometimes, just once in a while, I just sit quietly... and stare... at things!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ah, my dahling. How beautiful you are. How devastating. How lucky! Little did you dream that one day you would meet...
You should message me if
you know that a five ounce bird (African Swallow, etc.) could not possibly carry a one pound coconut. You like to laugh! A lot!! You think people who believe we didn't land on the moon are just plain silly (or whatever 'other' word you might apply!), in other words, you're not into insane conspiracy theories. You like Spontaneity. You see life as a grand adventure. You like to explore. You love Dogs. You just plain wanna! Oh yes, there are just a few caveats. (aren't there always!?!) If you lean far right and or hate our current President - you shouldn't! If you have strong urge to control things, then contact a good therapist, but not me... and Scene! ;-)

OK, you are now free to move about the Cupid!
