Note really sure how to describe myself! An introvert who likes people? When I was growing up, I wanted to be vice-president. I work in the tech industry but, somehow, am not a libertarian jerkwad (I hope). I'm a feminist (I hope).
I was born in Florida! I lived in the Bay for 3 years before moving here, San Luis Obispo before that, and the Bay again before that. I don't watch T.V. or drink soda. My favorite insult is to call something "warm garbage." I've got two degrees--so I'm definitely twice as smart as somebody with one degree (only half as smart as somebody with 4 degrees, though :( )
Note: white as a ghost
Year four of my five-year-plan consists of "Learn japanese" and "Learn the banjo" but I'm thinking I should move one or both of those things up on the timetable.
I can predict when my alarm clock is going to go off and wake up ten minutes before it does. I can touch-type with my just my index fingers like a MO-FUGGA.
I'm bad at cooking. REAL BAD. But I'd like to learn.
I'm skinny as heck (the not sweating makes exercise unpleasant unless it's really cold outside, and it SURE AS HECK isn't ever cold outside in Santa Ana :'( )
My favorite book is Blood Meridian. I dig good (read: old) sci-fi. Just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude (good, but not as good as Borges). Recommend something!
My favorite movie is The Fountain. Darren Aronofsky has never made a bad movie in my eyes (this includes Noah, which was a bad movie). David Lynch has made one. The Coen brothers are p great
Food: I can't eat cheese and I love velveeta. Life is suffering?? Cantelope is the God-Fruit, but bananas are close (let's say Pope-Fruit). I like sherbet more than ice cream.
My favorite gin is CapRock, but--like--I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert on gins (I'm not a classy guy, okay (I do like gin though))
My favorite video game is Kentucky Route Zero.
Last but not least, WEBCOMICS: Unsounded. Judecca. Vattu. Cucumber Quest. A Lesson Is Learned But The Damage Is Irreversible.
Rendering. OH MY GOD I'M A NERD
I've lately spent a lot of time trying to reconcile my desire to make video games with the gross-ass shambles that is the games industry. Most games aren't worth anybody's time, so I try doubly hard to be aware of the ones that are.
Politics and economics. My place in the future America. The subjectivity of "having your shit together"
I play board games with friends at a cozy little bar in Long Beach on Sundays. That's my "friday night," to be honest.
You wanna go kayaking! I love kayaking. Not, you know, triple-diamond rapids or whatever. Just boatin' and floatin'. I'm also into hiking and I LOVE snow things.
And finally: if you've got any constructive criticism about my profile! I've got an utter lack of self awareness about this shit.
