I like to consider myself something of an analog man in a digital world, though it's tough to maintain that notion as I work in digital media. That, and I'm hopelessly addicted to technology...
I'm still fairly new to this city, I work a lot and don't know too many people, thus I'm looking to broaden my horizons and expand my rolladex, be it simply as friends or maybe something more...
That's the short version. The long version can get convoluted and boring, but there's swordfights and explosions, so who cares?
I've worked in theatre, food service, film production, sanitation and education and somehow found myself making videos for the interwebs.
I love where I'm at and what I'm doing, and I try to live life to it's fullest and have at least one good adventure a week (though ideally it's more than just one).
Flying ( Not, like, as a pilot or with superpowers; but the whole process of airport>pre-flight cocktails>plane>loud babies> in-flight cocktails>that horrifying moment when the plane drops 100 feet in 2 seconds and OHGODWE'REALLGONNADIE>landing>post-flight cocktails)
Falling asleep while reading.
I'm not sure, honestly. People say my eyes or my hair or my laugh, some say it's the hint of a Masshole accent that comes out after a few drinks, but I guess you'll have to tell me yourself ...
(Isn't that half the fun if getting to know someone?)
I'm not ashamed to admit I read more comics than I do "real" books, so first off I'll say Batman (specifically stuff by Loeb, Morisson, and Jim Starlin), Walking Dead and (almost) all of Frank Miller's stuff. When it comes to "real" books, I'll read pretty much anything someone puts in my hands. Favorites include Bukowski, Brett Easton-Ellis, David Sedaris, and Dr. Seuss.
Movies/TV: I like the staples everyone else does, I suppose. GoT, Breaking Bad, Parks & Rec, Community, Archer, etc. I'm also an unabashed nerd, with a big spot in my heart for SciFi and hilariously bad action adventures from the 80s and 90s, as well as old-timey comedies (Some Like it Hot, Mad Mad Mad Mad World, etc).
My only rule is no Twilight and no Sex in the City. Enjoy those on your own time, or risk severe physical and psychological harm.
Food: Bacon. For vegetarians, it's been called the gateway meat. Also, everything else. Except sushi. Though apparently I've never had "good" sushi.
A sustainable supply of brown liquor
Someone to drink it with
Facial hair. I look weird without it.
You can pick number six - as long as it's not being covered in bees.
If you want to teach me something. You want to learn something. To share a good story or two. Because you've got nothing better to do. Buy me a drink, have an adventure, and maybe make out with me. Or not. Though I'm a great maker-outer.
I always like meeting new people and am a big believer in the idea that a stranger is just a friend you haven't met...
Or they're a serial killer. But hopefully they're that friend thing I said first.
