My self-summary
Bumbling goofball that's mastered the art of dad-dancing, but only behind closed doors. Forever an embarrassment, but occasionally a comedian and cuddle-monster to my two daughters.

This used to say that I had developed an affinity for questionable life choices but I'm getting pretty nifty at this 'life' thing. Looking for a Player Two as I'm finished with the solo campaign for now.
What I’m doing with my life
Quite often creating great works of fiction for financial advisers; alternatively, writing client reports for the good ones (spoiler: there aren't many).

Smiling and beguiling.

Doing a great deal of research into the best gym I can join in Swindon. It's taken me two years so far, but I hope to come to a conclusion soon.
I’m really good at
- Listening.
- Eating inordinate amounts of food
- Three-point turns (I gave up the ability to parallel park though).
- Helping others but then getting a little bit precious about it.
- Self-deprecation.
- Faffing around.
The first things people usually notice about me
If you were to ask my Nan, it would probably be something along the lines of 'cor you're putting on a bit of weight aren't you?' Thanks. Good evening to you too.

Oh, and this one seems to be limited to people I speak to on OkCupid only, but apparently the 'posh' voice that people weren't expecting. In person it's a little more offset by a slight Wiltshire/farmer twang, but it does make me feel I betrayed my council estate upbringing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Trying to branch out after finishing the ASoIaF series (suggestions welcome!), other favourites include the Discworld series, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or any Orwell novel. History books (modern) are a good read, although branching out now into Renaissance history.

All the usual suspects: Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Scarface, American History X, Shaun of the Dead, Superbad etc. MCU! Most childrens films are tops too - last few Disney films have been amazing. Got myself a Cineworld Unlimited card and it's my new favourite thing.

TV Shows
South Park, Rick and Morty, Bob's Burgers, Arrested Development, Spaced, Flight of the Conchords, Archer and Game of Thrones. Recently went on a nostalgia trip with Dragon Ball Z and currently keeping up with Dragon Ball Super.

Evergreen favourites for me: Arcade Fire, Beastie Boys, Belle & Sebastian, Eels, Flaming Lips, Interpol, Manics, Modest Mouse, Nirvana, Radiohead, The Smiths, Vampire Weekend and Weezer.

For everything else, there's my last.fm. http://www.last.fm/user/kayjaybles

Don't get to make much time for games these days but if given the choice I'm looking at Civ 5, EU4, Rocket League, WoW, DB Xenoverse or the Football Manager series. Pretty sure I lack the dexterity for first-person shooters ;)

Yes please.
Six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

1) Distraction
2) My car
3) Pulling a duvet fresh out of the tumble dryer
4) Ties
5) Spontaneity
6) Puns. Lots of puns.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether I should lead with a profile picture of just myself or of me with my children. I'm not fond of exciting people only to let them down, although I do appear to be quite adept at it!
On a typical Friday night I am
Typically being terrorised by my children.

Saturdays however, I can usually be found down the pub catching up with friends, going to see a movie, or crying in the fetal position following an intense Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
After a heavy night of drinking at a wedding reception in Germany I woke up in the night and managed to fall into the next door neighbour's pond. I was rescued by a big burly German and couldn't quite explain why I went to breakfast in a damp suit the following morning.

I once got married and my first daughter was born 48 hours later. That was a fun weekend.
